I'll still play it, and i'll rage on forums debating on how bad is a dragoon w/pet is![]()
Seriously,
I really cant understand how someone will prefer to having a, scale-dog that running around, more then having a job that does massive crits with juicy DRAGONS abilities.... /mumble mumble.....![]()
Last time I checked FFXI has been a great success and this game has yet not even kicked off, not saying that this game can't but this should be taken into consideration. This is interesting... it could be stated for both sides no? you want the people who are against the wyvern to think outside the FFXI box... but on the same note really the people that want the wyvern are still stuck in said box... you humans truly think up the most interesting puzzles I must say hehe.
The cat is amused =^.^=
It is funny because most of the time we come with examples from FFXI, WoW or whatever people think that we can't "think outside the box", "why are you turning this into FXI-2", "go play WoW" and comments like that. Just because we liked an idea and a concept from a game doesn't mean that we don't want it to undergo change and adaptation, did the materia system turn this into FFVII-online somehow?
Final Fantasy is about tradition, taking the concepts that are in the box and somehow renewing them. If it wasn't for that, the FF games would not have been as successful and this game would have died already a long time ago.

Exactly, why make dragoon as similar as possible to mnk? What about other DDing jobs for the future, how are you going to differentiate those? Crit hit dmg for Drg is fine and all that, but this could be reserved for another job in the future. This job has already the potential for differentiation, creating more potential variety for other classes.
nah it will go like thisno blade is a vampire himself ;D does a hunter in WoW have a pet`? does a beastmaster have a pet? does the warlock have a pet? blablabla*
does it make the hunter or warlock gimped? hell no. on the opposite
because they are afraid that it will be the same like in FF11.. (although i think he was a good dd in FF11). MOST of the people didnt took the wyvern dmg and breath attacks into account (which is stupid imho). it was like a warrior with polearm + wyvern dmg + tactically things like healing breath etc
i would personally prefer both types. because THEN i could kick your asses up in pvp with my "gimpy" wyvern.TWO are better then ONE
i would make a hunt on all you non-wyvern drg's ^^
PAH
well im looking forward to that what SE will offer to us DRG players... but i dont think that drg will be more "exciting" than lancer is. it will be almost the same. but well, lets see if they have some "stylish" skills for us.
For me coming from DarkAgeOfCamelot (16 classes per realm - where many are really innovative and new) simple classes are not that exciting to me. a polearm wielding class is nothing special to me. its like "hm ok, saw that before. a polearm footsoldier"
1. kill Wyvern
2. kill gimped Dragoon
3. /s loldrg!
