We don't want chat bubble it will make the screen look messy and having that option of turn on and off is rather pointless because when that happen you will see all the /say chat spam all over your screen because people will be using that as a way to chat instead which either you will end up in blacklist
As for party/raid how about No?
Surely you don't want poop ton of chat bubble in the middle of the fight with their Marco spamming all over your screen
I feel the opposite. FFXIV SMN is the most summoner-like incarnation we've had since X.
That was definitely not a thing. BC greens were far better than Vanilla epics which completely invalidated any previous content. Same thing happened in Wrath, and pretty much every expansion. I can't recall a single thing you ever needed to go back and do. There were a couple of quest gates/attunements, but all of them started and ended in the expansion they were introduced in. Some of them you only actually needed one person in your entire raid group to actually do.From what I heard WoW had an entire flowchart from vanilla all the way up to wrath of things you had to do to unlock other things that eventually culminated in unlocking the final raid tier and defeating the last boss of the expansion. Then after that it was get to max level and have a high enough ilvl to unlock and run the raid tiers.

My first time playing X was last year, when I played it, I wished so much that SMN was like X. It only
made me sad how terrible SMN is to me in this game.
My idea of SMN is not stupid little nuggets that we barely interact with...
I think 4.0 did it right, with summoning Bahamut
but they really need to stop with him. There's other summons we can pull but they keep adding him. -_-
I wish they reworked summoner from the ground up but I'm probably minority.
They are really all over the place with SMN. I wouldn't even mind invoking
Summon powers but they are doing 3 different things with SMN right now lol.
Sounds like you should just go back to WOW. Complaining about the story... really?? And you want tons of chat windows popping up over peoples heads? No. Thank. You.
How does wanting the option hurt you? it makes things feel immersive. I am not sure what is filtered in it, like trade channel doesn't do it I do not think, but I do not remember it ever being an annoyance and a hindrance, made things feel more immersive.
Don't we have that already somehow? I remember seeing chat bubble on npc's head when i used to run fates. Also i prefer things the way they are now so i wouldn't approve a chat bubble unless i can turn it off.
I wished that since they released smn but hey one can only dream.
Chat bubbles are bad, because people will talk in /say? Like they already occasionally do? I mean, if bubbles were ever added, I bet there'll also be an option to turn them off. Your screen would look no different from today by ticking them off.We don't want chat bubble it will make the screen look messy and having that option of turn on and off is rather pointless because when that happen you will see all the /say chat spam all over your screen because people will be using that as a way to chat instead which either you will end up in blacklist
If it's done anything like WoW, you'd see exactly one chat bubble per person max and not a huge tower. Again, you could just turn them off.
Yoshi-P is doing his best and is patching Endwalker. Please wait warmly until it is ready.
Alright, let me pop a Grit and Darkside and join in this battle. We'll call it...hmm...ah yes, Charoy Savage
In all honesty though, I have played a little bit of Wow and I'm coming from SWTOR. Charoy does make some good points, but at the same time, FFXIV is made for FF fans. I started FFXIV in March, and yes, the ARR can get pretty annoying and turn off new players if they don't know how much better everything gets starting in HW. Almost 200 quests before you hit HW is an awful lot. With that being said, I'm engaged with the story. Yes, there's a lot of other stuff to do, but it's the lore that keeps me in the game. As mentioned before, end game raiding is not a big focus for the devs, and really, it shouldn't be. Hell, to be blunt, I still haven't passed O3S, so those of you who are saying it's easy compared to WoW...eat some Salted Earth with some Bloodsplitter on the side. I just don't have the time to be focused solely on making it to the end game, raiding day in and day out. This is a casual MMO. And considering how 2.0 turned out after the mess that was 1.0, I'd say this is a huge accomplishment. You also have to keep in mind that Wow has, what, 6-7 years on FFXIV. This game shouldn't be made to compete with WoW. We have enough WoW clones on the market. Black Desert Online is probably the closest that tries to stay on the market.
What in the seven hells is a cad?
(Yes, I'm responding to everything in semi-character.)
