I really don't think the entire community should suffer no further jobs based on the proportionally small raiding community.

Agreed. More jobs means more options for all players. The people complaining will always complain regardless and the ones complaining about "raid utility" often sound like the players in MOBA's complaining about "Meta". So let that part of the community argue amongst themselves over which job is better for a role while the rest of us enjoy the variety.

Near the end of the current MSQ Lyse uses a weapon type not currently used by any job in the game along with her Dancer-esque attire.

I reeeally doubt Lyse is foreshadowing Dancer because her Ala Mhigan folk dress. Plus some Monk weapons actually have blades plastered onto them so it's not really something unique.

There's a good chance Dancer will be one of the next jobs anyway since it's highly demanded.

The difference is that lyse isn't using paired weapons if you look closely. Its a single retractable wrist mounted blade.

Still, she is a Pugilist. The arguments about the "Red Lady" being a Dancer was over long, long ago.

I would like see beastmaster, I believe if beastmaster is give the whip it could fit in with Ninja armor the whip is DEX basic weapon. Plus have melee pet jobs. would be awesome I just hope they improve the summoner

I also love to Blue mage duel scimitars wield avoidance tank I could see them set up a system where the more the blue mage avoidance build up mana which allowance them use blue magic ability

Geomancer could also be a good job too Geomancer could be more basic on using elementals aid and healing them

I'm sure the idea has been brought up before (Hell, maybe in this topic... Too tired to re-check everything), but I was just musing to myself about a "Balance" type healer that operates primarily off of HP rather than MP.

Basically, it heals itself by leeching enemy HP, and it heals others by sacrificing its own HP. Likewise, it cures status effects from others by absorbing them itself, then cures itself of them by projecting them onto enemies.

Might be considered too drastic a departure, so I don't expect many people to be on-board with it, but eh...

It sounds nice and unique on paper, but in practise it would lead to these healers getting themselves killed very easily, especially to the repeating raid-wide AoE attacks that are seen on some bosses. It just wouldn't work out.



Personally, I think something like a Beastmaster could be made into a Tank. One form of damage mitigation could be to passively share the damage they take with their pet, while possessing various abilities that restore their pet's health or boost its attack or defenses as a side-effect. It would be funny if you could glamour your pet to be any kind of animal that you've previously beaten as well.

A puppetmaster would not work out at all for a tank. It would mean that they'd have to let their pet do the actual tanking, which in any MMO is a terrible idea in any situation outside of solo play.
