It's a non issue. Only time I lose hate is when I'm being sub optimal or RDM does melee combo at the start of the fight before I can finish my opening.

Halo kid

So you'll let a DPS with Feint/SW/BB/LS/Invig die because you would rather be lazy?
Admittedly I don't run Diversion normally since I never see tanks take advantage of the threat lead and drop tank stance. Similarly as a WAR, I have yet to have problems with one BB combo after SE at the beginning and using my DPS rotation throughout the fight in Deliv.

Literally the you're lazy because they're lazy argument again.
Enmity is a shared responsibility. You don't need the tank letting people die because they don't want to manage their personal enmity, and the DPS don't need to make the tank stay longer in tank stance or use more enmity combos because they can't be bothered to hit a button as an OGCD.

Kinda the dps fault if they are nuking things before you've even completed the pull. I think they should wait until you've grouped the enemies and your flash has touched them all once instead of them peeling away things you haven't touched yet. Making the tank and healer work harder can't be faster than having everything nicely grouped up to aoe burn.

Well hey! You show me a tank willing to use DPS stance, and I'll be elated to drop Invigorate for Diversion. Enmity is a two way street. Show me you're willing to actually make use of the threat lead, and I'll give you all the Diversion in the world.
Till then? Well hey, I'll stick to using what support I can get actual mileage out of.

Most DPS are at least i310s, while you are still i290 or less. The main part is your weapon is still i290 where you should look for upgrade asap, 2nd part is you are missing a lot of str from accessories; only 2 out of 5 have str scaling.

I'll admit I encountered a RDM that ripped from me on almost every boss in ToTF this morning. As soon as he did he dumped his aggro with Lucid, but not until after getting smacked in the face by an AA. On dungeon bosses I typically do a DAPS in Grit and then drop it. I was doing about 2900 DPS so I thought it was obvious that I wasn't in Grit, but he certainly didn't use Diversion. I'll admit I was shocked that a 300 potency combo finisher with nearly a 30x enmity modifier didn't hold (and it wasn't gear either as I am i323 and have a 330 weapon) but eventually I just decided to do an extra Gritless PS and things were okay. First and only time that's happened to me though, so idk what they were doing and I don't know jack about RDM at 70.
RDM has strong burst especially if they lead with a full white/black magic gauge melee combo. Most RDM probably use the hardcast Veraero opener. Good RDMs are going to be on the brink of pulling hate from you as a tank to be honest. They are not going to be taking Diversion most of the time. The 5 good role skills to take are Lucid Dreaming, Swiftcast, Mana Shift, Addle, and Apocatastasis. I do not think BLM, RDM, or SMN will take Diversion since the other 5 role skills are much more useful.
Fried popoto enthusiast.
Does RDM really need Swiftcast?
Is there a reason why tanks shouldn't be staying in their tanking stances? I feel like since SB hit, I'm encountering more and more tanks that don't want even want to use their tanking stance in roulettes, and with str accessories on no less. If am healing, I literally have to heal bomb the WHOLE run, because regen doesn't even cut it making a buffer with their low HP pools.Enmity is a shared responsibility. I just don't get it tho. Tanks preferring to push damage, DPS not caring about enmity, Magical/Range DPS not helping the the healer out with MP management... if this is a teamwork oriented system, why does it feel like some people are putting themselves first?
