This is what I'm currently working in, but I could also argue if I have that gear from tomes, I have no reason to really run the dungeons anymore making the whole experience rough regardless

You probably more than anything just need to replace your weapon and your pre-70 accessories as they have no strength on them like the current ones. You'll struggle a little bit but it won't be as rough as it currently is. If you do all of your roulettes and an extra lvl 70 (Ala Mhigo since it's capped at 310) you'll have enough verity for a weapon.

The reason to run dungeons is entirely debated on what content you want to do. If you just want to clear the content once for story then yeah, there's no point in running them more than once. If you want to do raiding or extreme primals, then it'll be good to do them so your able to queue or get into party finder groups.

Yeah, considering most people are item level 310 - 320 and are now approaching 330, it might be a combination of both gear disparity and the really, really nasty burst the RDMs do. I recommend you stay in shield oath for a bit longer and flash a few times more often to really secure hate before you start working your damage combos into the mix, at least until you receive some better gear. Fear not, it should be easier to hold hate once you upgrade your gear a bit (:

Your problem is definitely gear related, getting a Verity weapon and replacing your sub 70 accessories would be the first step ahead.

I never had materia in my gear, have very bad luck with RNG to get gear(most of the time it wouldn't appear in the chests at all), and was in i270(exception being my relic at i275) until I got to 70 and did my class quest(now I have 3 pieces of i320, the rest at i310). VERY rarely did I lose agro, even to those that were 70, higher geared, and going full tilt. It's a matter of how you rotate your combo, how many times you flash/unleash/overpower, and if they are using Lucid/Diversion/etc.

So you'll let a DPS with Feint/SW/BB/LS/Invig die because you would rather be lazy?

Admittedly I don't run Diversion normally since I never see tanks take advantage of the threat lead and drop tank stance. Similarly as a WAR, I have yet to have problems with one BB combo after SE at the beginning and using my DPS rotation throughout the fight in Deliv.

Literally the you're lazy because they're lazy argument again.

Enmity is a shared responsibility. You don't need the tank letting people die because they don't want to manage their personal enmity, and the DPS don't need to make the tank stay longer in tank stance or use more enmity combos because they can't be bothered to hit a button as an OGCD.

Well hey! You show me a tank willing to use DPS stance, and I'll be elated to drop Invigorate for Diversion. Enmity is a two way street. Show me you're willing to actually make use of the threat lead, and I'll give you all the Diversion in the world.
