so is he trying to say Americans are too politically correct. if so i can agree with that. i am an American and i hate having to hold my tongue for fear of offending someone. everyone here is worried about hurting someones feelings even if it means holding back the truth. What i cant agree with is that we are the only country like this cause i have not lived in every country so i would have no way to know. So if you believe in stereotyping people based on were they live, go for it.

Edit: i just wanted to add a little something for people who think hey can group all American together. America is made of of 50 states each one being as different as the next. what we eat in one state people have never heard of in another. IN some states religion plays an important part in life and others not so much. Religions even vary from state to state. For anyone who thinks they know anything about America they should realize that the people here are all very different based on region.

Well, his statement pretty much goes for the general population of the world. He just chose to single out americans.

im not sure if this comment was toward me, but since i didnt post on topic i will now.

I wouldn't report someone for an inappropriate name simply cause it isn't worth my time. Im sure if it is that outrageous someone else will report him/her so just let someone else do the work for you. If you have some sort of strong feelings toward this person and see reporting their name as a way to get rid of them then by all means go ahead. (ive reported botters and nothing has been done so that's what i mean by not worth my time)

In America there are certain people who are driving this nation to be more politically correct then i for one like. Not all Americans are politically correct or strive for a nation were you cant speak your mind.

example: last year in Philadelphia were i live certain people wanted to ban a holiday market referred to as Christmas village. The Mayor of Philadelphia actually considered this and thankfully allowed x-mas village to remain as it is a long standing tradition in our city. Its these types of things that are being made possible be certain people who have nothing better to do then to complain about everything.

I have to admit I find a lot of the names peurile. I'm not offended by them but can't help wondering how many party invites they miss out on. Some people wont invite them because they are offended and some wont invite them because they'll think they're probably an idiot.

FTR I agree with you, the irony stemmed from you calling the anti American person out for being unpolitically correct when you yourself dont necessarily agree with politically correctness. No offense just thought it was funny ><
