literally the caster "fantasy" is to wear robes.. same with the tanks "fantasy" is to wear plate.. if you don't like it, then glam it.

i'd rather not have SE change all the caster base sets to be too "out of character"... understand first why it has to be that way.

like others have said, its probably not that the robes look bad, its probably cause its not your style, which is fine. i for one like wearing robes with i'm playing caster, but more often i just wear my casual outfit around LUL

I'd actually like to see some mid-length skirts for guys? I spent ages trying to put together a healer glam that had a short front but long back skirt, a mid-length skirt and sandals. The only piece I could find that was even remotely close to the top was the ao dai (fancy front bit Ididn't want, also too expensive) and lol @ skirts for guys. There's the ureaus, the plain long, and a couple of even longer ones. I suppose now we have the indigo ramie, but that dyes oddly and has that bizarre holey effect that looked nice in WoD, but I'd like a... non-raggy option?

I'd also like if skirts didn't expand to fill the available space like some sort of weird gaseous substance but I'll not hold my breath on that.

The problem is that there's few options to use for glam that all classes can use.

Some robes look nice, some robes don't. The problem isn't that we don't like certain robes. The problem is its almost always a robe. Having some non-pseudo dress/non-long coat/non tunic options wouldn't destroy the "fantasy". Imagine this... imagine a caster outfit that the top is a non-pseudo dress... and the bottom is a skirt. Together they look like the typical "fantasy" robe... but if you opt to glam different pants, you now have a body slot item that ISN'T a robe. That kind of versatility would address many people's problems with the current options.

Failing that, just adding more "level 1 all classes" glam gear for the body slot that aren't pseudo-dresses/robes/tunics/long coats/bare chest, would help break up the monotony of only having a handful of things to glam into.

There's all of maybe 10-15 chest slot items that any class/race/sex can use that isn't a dress. That's woefully inadequate as far as options go.

Not sure if troll post or not, but I'd support it.

i pretty much have only have a handful of leg options, as all the "flowy" outfits I like, are attached to the body (and i tend to dislike the upper part its attached to) and the leg stuff either looks weird, or doesnt match the body.
sometimes the "skirt" of an outfit would look fantastic with another upper body, but thats almost never possible.
Then for MOST body armor, a bit goes below the belt, and then overrides any "flowy" leg attachments. (an example, the Lv63 Healer legs, have this bow on them, that looks great, but almost every shirt removes the bow, as the shirt extends below the belt. which by default removes all extra bits of ur legs)
This is one of my biggest issues... There are so many things that shouldn't have the bottom part attached to them, but do. For example, I'd actually like the Genji healer chestpiece if the skirt weren't part of it....and there's absolutely no reason for the skirt not to be the bottom model, the pants are COMPLETELY covered as part of the set.

There is no apostrophe in Au Ra.
Stop adding one three years later.

At least we don't have the problem GW 2 has. Like 99% of all medium armor in that game is a freaking long coat. At least their casters can mix it up and wear shirts and stuff. Their thieves and rangers, all gotta look like pirates or something.

I really dislike the fact that every single piece of armor for every class is robed. If they are going to be really lazy with the design then they could at least do something about the tail clipping through robes.

This is why I wish they'd remove job restrictions on gear (save artifact). Let us mix and match more. I am tired of robes for my casters. Sure we can glamour over them, which I've been doing, but the options we have can only go so far.
