Because FFXIV is not a particularly interesting game to watch? Plenty of games with large followings don't perform well on Twitch simply because the game doesn't having viewership appeal. That doesn't necessarily speak to the quality of the product. Now I certainly won't deny XIV could improve upon some of its more... repetitive aspects, though I'm not bothered by most of them. For me, I enjoy those "boring" Savage fights and trials far more than anything Black Desert offered. But to each their own.

Now I can't say I don't dislike the way SE is doing things, but that's a separate point from number of Twitch viewers and how fun FFXIV is to watch.

I find watching others play ANY game is boring(unless it's a short guide to help me figure something out - hidden chest, solve a puzzle I've spent hours on, getting those super strong end game weapons in single player RPGs - though I am watching and doing at same time). Had an argument with someone because I said "I don't see the appeal of watching someone else play a game while you do nothing yourself"...they couldn't understand that it's my feelings on the matter and not me telling them to stop doing so and do it themselves.
