    Blood Price feels underwhemling

    Blood Price kinda feel useless... with ~6000MP it only returns 88mp per hit taken... why not just make it a passive trait that gives DRK a chance to recover MP while using Grit.

    kinda like PLD's block... has a % to block... and once block proc... ~25% dmg reduction
    DARK's M pleasure sense... has a % to trigger M pleasure sense when hit... and once M pleasure sense proc... 5~10% MP recovery.

    Considering DRKs lack of mitigation, they should add some to blood price.

    Blood Price - Heals 20% of damage taken.

    I know that's probably OP, but adding a heal or a damage shield akin to dread spikes from FFXI goes with the theme of the ability.

    they have changed blood price so that you get blood when you use it. since that didn't worked out that good they then changed quietus to recover mana. so instead of blood price > mana > abyssal drain it now is:

    blood price > blood
    blood > delirium (for longer blood price uptime)
    blood > quietus
    quietus > mana
    mana > abyssal drain

    and the idea of "making the jobs easier with 4.0" and removing button bloat was a succes! all hail to the blood gauge! \^^/

    I'm guessing they'll add a passive mp regen along with the blood regen. Honestly I'm not sure why they nerfed it so badly but then went back and buffed Quietus into being the old Blood Price; DRK's conflict with Holy and Celestial Opposition is now even worse since TBN has a shorter window than Blood Price.

    ^^This, just be careful on using Dark Arts with Quietus as the MP regen is fixed so for 50 extra potency you gain might backfire unless there are enough mobs to soak up the DA MP cost. Just checked DA is 2400 MP, I noticed Quietus (for me) regens 480 MP per target meaning you need a min of 5 mobs to break even on this. Better off not DA'ing Quietus and in turn using that regained MP for DA-Abyssal Drain instead .

    They decided to make BP and BW Blood generators as their main function now. I think it's kinda crap in comparison to what DRK's had in 3.0.

    With the changes to Quietus I still feel to be as viable as 3.0 BP was it needs to be a Blood Cost of 20.

    Blood Price is pretty much a dungeon only skill.
    On single target, I don't even feel the benefit of it... for 15 sec duration, you need to get hit 28 times to get just a DA/TBN. That's just not going to happen.
    even as a gauge builder, it's barely noticeable...

    If any, Blood Price encourages DRK to pull more. Quietus mana gain is really good too. Literally infinite mana to spam aoes.

    In my opinion, what Blood Price should be instead of MP per hit, is a Lucid Dreaming-style fixed MP refresh with the Blood Gauge part of it working the same.

    That way it would be useful for single target, mobs, and still give the infinite MP in large pulls for self-healing via Abyssal Drains.

    Why does everyone want to turn Blood Price into a 40s CD Rampart (only difference being that it can't save you from being one-shot)?...

    DRK mitigation isn't nearly THAT far behind, and putting that mitigation in a resource builder locked to a frequently undesirable tank stance is only going to lead to more conflict and clunkiness.

    All Blood Price needs is to feel a more even effect across various scenarios. Have it generate mana based on the pre-mitigated damage of the attack against you, plus a small flat amount (e.g. 1.5% of base maximum MP). In that way it stays strong against trash but is outright exciting to eat a giant tankbuster with.
