I will agree there is time effort in-equity for common items. A BSM, ARM and GSM can have a miner go get a stack in 10 minutes. Why shouldn't the LTW, WVR, ALC be able to send the hunter out get a stack in a similar amount of time?

Feel free to not do LTW, WVR, and ALC crafting if you think it is too much effort.
There are plenty of people who will put that effort in for the enhanced reward that will come of it.
That's generally the rule: all else being equal, the harder it is to make something, the more people are willing to pay to have it made.

It's clever of SE: they give us BSM, ARM, and GSM for people who want to craft without putting much effort into it (who will be only modestly rewarded), and then also offer "Savage" crafting in the form of LTW, WVR, and ALC for those willing to endure more difficulties for greater rewards.

Makes perfect sense.
