yeah thats right i guess we should get gated on the amount of dungeons we can do on battle jobs and level them by just monster farming cause that is a really good way to level
Crafting xp from crafting things is increased based on the number of steps involved. This means with the right macro you can make even basic recipes give great xp return.
Also once you hit level 50 just like with gatherers you can start working on Collectables, which are basically unlimited leve turn ins only limited by your ability to get the materials. Just like a gatherer is mostly limited in efficiency by time more so then anything else (though they always have always available nodes).
To clarify, the exp bonus is actually based on how much Quality you've built up using crafting skills on that item. Note that using HQ materials to have a higher starting Quality does not increase exp gain, only the Quality gained during the crafting process increases the exp.
They do. It's called daily roulettes.
Running dungeons for experience outside of roulettes is akin to crafting items to gain crafting experience.

I feel like a closer analog would be comparing leves to the daily roulette bonuses we can only use once a day, while crafting for the xp (don't forget those manuals for boosted xp while gathering and crafting!) is like grinding the highest level dungeon you have access to over and over again.
Maybe what we need is a Craft/Gather Palace of the Dead![]()
