The ability to glamour doesn't need to be some reward locked behind 50 levels. The armors are locked behind levels and completing content - that is plenty of effort already.
But a lot of the best glamours are level 1. There's no effort there.

Your opinion. Aesthetic is always subjective.

Also, I didn't realize the level 1 crafted armor could be produced/obtained with no effort. Presumably someone has to craft them - either yourself or another - and if not you, then you must put in the effort to earn the gil to purchase it or the mats to have someone else craft it.

The argument for locking glamour to 50 always seems to revolve around "effort", but getting the damn glamour gear requires effort in the first place. Just let people have fun, for crying out loud.

    Funny story...

When subjective creatures such as humans are asked to give their answer to the question "Is aesthetic value subjective or objective?" guess how the majority answer?

    Objective!

Aesthetic value has little to do with how much pleasure you get from something, whatever that may be or what form that pleasure takes. Feelings do not always accord with that which our senses ought to sense.

Some people might not like Mozart's 5th symphony, but they'd be a fool to suggest it sounds bad and is not a well written piece of music.

We might not be the biggest fans of those subligars, but one can't deny the splendid function of booty display that they provide.
