    The simple fact of the matter is as long as you're playing a modern, big budget mmo, you're playing a game designed by corporate bean counters, not creative designers with a vision. They will make no effort to understand how people play or why. They'll just do focus groups where they go into a panic cause if someone has to press more than one button they might get overwhelmed, and that would be lost subscription money OH NO, panic, panic make game as dumb as possible.

    Right now the solutions to the problems in this game are so blatantly obvious it's impossible to believe anyone could miss it. If SE hasn't done it it's because they don't want to. SE doesn't care about making the game interesting, or doing anything creative. They have one single goal, maintain the status quo. Keep the factory flower, stamp out the same templated progression schedule. Copy/paste dungeons, copy/paste raids, and copy/paste gear progression adhering to a strict schedule.

    Seriously....op you woke up this morning in this was on your mind? I'm really trying to understand why seriously the game is fine as is just stop with the wish list bs. Pretty positive when Yosh is ready he will think of a new way to rework the system till then chill and let's all have a good time with a game the creators bussed they ass to give us instead of crying every damn min of the day about why this and that isn't buffed or nerfed.

    It's not even close to what ff14 does. Every fight is just a mess with people running all over and hoping it dies before you run out of endurance. Even with tanks and healers in ff14 trying to output as much dps as possible they're still performing those roles, healing and tanking(keeping a mob focused on themselves). I agree ff14 could be designed a lot better, look at my rant in that same post. However, compared to the everyone is a dps in gw2 ff14 is like paradise on earth.

    I wanna address all the people thinking that this change would mean "fewer" spots for necessary tank cross role actions. There's already been a valid solution presented by someone, and you really need to hold two things separately.

    Tank stances can easily replace Shirk with this solution, and that's not even the only solution. I frankly don't get people who think taking tank stances away hinders any sort of uniqueness or fun in the jobs. The only viable argument I've seen is that part of WAR's identity is a large HP pool, and I agree. To remedy this, I would suggest buffing Thrill of Battle to 30% and giving WAR Thrill of War (+20%) to not only address this, but give WAR some much needed utility.
