9gbp = 10eur.same in eu no change, i feel is more a trouble with money change before that was not reflecting the right price.
for a 10.80 euro sub it give 39.52 brl
for the 12.99 euro sub it give 47.59 brl
1 euro = 3.6642 brl
then... maybe it more the pricing was put to the same level everywhere
and before someone say i try to defend SE, i just point out that it's highly possible they try to reflect the pricing of the different country and make every pricing the same... not smart but well...
Clearly not all the pricings the same. Clearly pricing was NOT put to the same level everywhere.
They don't need to, you don't see Blizzard explaining why their subscription is cheaper than in US, that's what regional pricing is about.
Economy is much more than the raw value of money, you can't just think "well, it's 1usd for 3 brl so it's fine (that's true for imported goods). Money is always changing, brl can be 1:1 tomorrow, who knows? But will it have a delay of years to change? That's why companies should try to establish a reasonable price.

Thank you guys SO MUCH for doing this! It's far better to have a separate thread for all the "discussion"I'd like to call to your attention this thread: Appeal to Square Enix regarding subscription prices for BR and RU. This is part of the actions being discussed between BR players (including me and Doppelshifter) and RU players (including Seturian Wings, from the Chaos server) that I mentioned in my previous post.relating to this topic and one just for showing unified support to try to get some reaction from SE.
In that vein, can I remind people to please not engage the trolls/naysayers who ignore the OP and try to pick fights in the other thread? If their posts are inflammatory and contain swearing or otherwise break the forum ToS, just report them (heaven knows SE is deleting our posts and banning us for less) and ignore them.

life is unfair, what you want i say, i doubt SE will really move from this post or vid there and there...
you can try, i hope for you it will, but honestly since the price of the online gaming have almost not move for 20+ years i will not be surprise to see an increase there and there.

Im not asking you to say anything, Im just replying to both of your questions. xD
I am repeating myself but we have no problem with SE adjusting the rate per se. The problems are detailed on the last couple pages, I think its worth the read.

and a business is free to lose business over too high prices, whatever they want I suppose.life is unfair, what you want i say, i doubt SE will really move from this post or vid there and there...

0 quality HQ is possible
Online gaming price shouldn't increase actually, the avarage Joe doesn't know about inflation and currency valuation, historically what makes online gaming expensive was the storage costs and Dev time. Storage is cheap nowadays, so it is only the development costs that actually matter in a subscription. I should also say that most of the price is just profitslife is unfair, what you want i say, i doubt SE will really move from this post or vid there and there...

Yeah. That's not gonna stop them from complaining like the people complaining about price here are. They don't need to, you don't see Blizzard explaining why their subscription is cheaper than in US, that's what regional pricing is about.

did you notice that FF14 get an huge amount of content added every 3 month? more than any other mmo can pretend to do.... you do expect them to do this for free? wake up, yes the storage have become less expensive, but the investment for make a mmo nowaday is astronomical, that a huge reason of why the genre is dying, because get back the money invested into it is.... hard.Online gaming price shouldn't increase actually, the avarage Joe doesn't know about inflation and currency valuation, historically what makes online gaming expensive was the storage costs and Dev time. anyway, like i have said, thing are never fair, but i do hope you will get what you want.
that said don't act like you are in your right, since the ToS say it, they are free to change the price as they want. if you are unhappy the best way is to unsub and say them why... they will be forced to change them way or not... who know what can pass by the head of the one that decide the price.
since for information, it's not yoshida and his team that decide this... but SE and we know how well they like to use FF14 benefit for cover the cost of dev of other game, like for FF15.

Love the signature!
And to the dude above, no one is throwing a fit at Yoshida. Hold back the strawmen a little.
