This is what I'm looking for it's definitely not as useless as everyone seems to think it's like SCH overdrive (well when used with largesse anyway.)nothing really they're probably spamming succor or adlo and teammates getting hit by mechanics. djsiipation has it's downsides but that's not to say it's a weak and useless ability. you have to find ways to use it and it's not bad once you learn the fight. I try to use it when I can. I've only done o1s and o2s and there's PLENTY of downtime and transition phases that I can afford to hardcast summoning the fairy back.
that said I mostly use the fey illumination/covenant > dissipated largessed deployed adlo combo . adding sacred soil here and there. it's godly when it crits. I've gotten as high as 15K adlo crit lol. the tanks barely took any damage during Twinbolt:]]

people love to exaggerate. also I posted a follow up in my recent post regarding the MP argument. just a tip for you since people here are set in their ways.
use dissipation with largesse and with deployed adlo. that's the optimal way to use it. even better when your fairy abilities are on CD.
if you are preparing for a raid wide Aoe mechanic, pre cast your fairy abilities so they are up before you dissipate. FEY covenant first for the 20% magic damage down buff and then fey illumination plus largesse THEN Dissipate.
Don't waste the three aether dissipate gives you. For this I suggest popping sacred soil and excog
"rotation" for incoming raid damage
sacred soil > excog to get rid of any aether
rouse plus whispering dawn
fey covenant
largess > fey ilumination
dissipate
adlo > deploy
estimated damage mitigated is 76,000 HP. if crit you mitigate 176,000 HP (given you have a 7000 HP adlo heal)
ALWAYS use 100% of your toolkit and find ways to make use of all your abilities to make the other healers job easier. that's the fun in being a SCH.
going through a Susano sword phase and seeing everyone's HP at full is fun

Exactly that's kinda the only thing keeping me as this class and that's it's "bulkiness" I get a thrill out of exhausting my abilities and then having my own backup generator to keep the party alive. Plus a lot of us just ignore the fact that WE ARE NOT MAIN HEALERS, we are planners with mitigation sitting pretty in the back seat. Our cohealer should very hopefully exist and be doing their jobs in whatever savage content we're in so dissipation should very much be a cool button to use and not something we're all fearful of is all.
Woah woah woah. Wait a minute.
Why would you make a thread asking if it is good, if you are only looking for answers that fit your agenda (in this case, that dissapation is good)? Everyone else had legitimate reasons why they dislike it but you didn't like those answers so they weren't "correct".
Seriously dude...

it's marginally, sometimes, in specific instances, situationally good, but most of the time it's bad and just a hassle to use especially when compared to other healers long cooldowns that have an immediate beneficial effect with no downsides. that's what it is.Woah woah woah. Wait a minute.

I would have loved if it also
1. resummoms your fairy, and
2. instead of the 20% healing buff you get a 100% critical chance on your next galvanizing effect
it's a 120sec cd anyway...
maybe in my dreams.
