Keepers of the Moon in MSQ

Am I the only one dying to have a Keeper NPC show up in more than just a side quest? We have had plenty of Seekers of the Sun show up as main characters and have now met TWO tribes and learned a lot more of their lore in SB. We also met a city of Raen Au Ra and learned a TON about the Xaela. We still know very, very little about the Keepers and have yet to see any Keeper NPCs aside from minor side quest characters. Anyone else bothered a bit by this?

I honestly have been bothered by this, too. As a player playing with a Keeper of Moon character it feels like this clan isn't being explored further for some odd reason. While I've enjoyed learning about the Seekers side of the Miqo'te, it's about time we get to not only see Keeper representatives in the main story, but also learn more about them, too.

From what I can remember, the Keepers of the Moon live within Gridania's borders, right? Would an expansion to Eoreza's three main states give us the chance for more Keeper of Moon support?

Not unlike the Duskwight Elezan, the Keepers of the Moon are a minority in Gridania with a troubled past. The Keeper's of the Moon in particular are noted hunters, but the poaching gangs in Gridania which recruit many of them have given the group a bad name. Needless to say, both Keeper of the Moon and Duskwight have peacefully integrated into the fabric of Gridanian society but this means that you have little reason to see them outside The Black Shroud beyond the odd eccentric or mercenary (the ones from the Beast Tribes Alliance Story and 1-30 Gladiator Quest come to mind)

Not unlike the Keepers of the Sun, Keepers of the Moon seem composed predominantly of women and are a noted matriarchy but since men are fewer in number they are still expected to mate with more than one woman and the term "breeding male" is applied in one levequest (now I know which race I should have been!). But yah, it seems only the Keeper's of the Sun have established encampments in the game from Thanalaan to Ala Mhigo and the Keeper's of the Moon where not given any real estate for some reason.

I suppose Khloe and Zhloe Aliapoh could be considered eccentric?

Nashu Mhakaracca is definitely eccentric. Masha of the Songbirds might also be so, or she might just not want anything to do with the other Mhakaracca.

And then Square Enix introduced a new Scion from Sharlayan, a Moonkeeper Male who holds great disdain for the systematic abuse and manipulation his race shows towards its males. We learn much about the Moonkeepers, namely how they are massive jerks, the women ruling and not even giving men names, but numbers, because men don't matter that much, or how men simply aren't allowed to remain with their clans but must wander, only allowed to return for brief visits when they bring gifts to bribe the clan into accepting their temporary presence.

Then this new Scion becomes the forced love interest of Y'shtola. For reasons. A couple of expansions down the line we learn Y'shtola gives birth to the messiah of Miqo'te, a child destined to unite the race.

All pessimism aside, I'm not sure what we could learn of Moonkeepers that probably wouldn't devolve into some kind of SJW tumblr flame war by the players.

During X era, Keepers moved to the north due to their more secluded nature where they were caught in the Garlemald technological revolution. Some entered in their ranks while try to survive in the more harsh Ilsabard areas.

I can see a possible "new Scion friend" being male and having some rivalmance with Thancred maybe? would be fun!

F'lhaminn is a Keeper. We haven't seen much from her in awhile. I wonder if there are any plans for her, though...isn't she a little....experienced?

Maybe its me, although I can so see how Y'shtola and Thancred make a cute couple, but I really never got that vibe off of them. There was some playful shots at one another but that always came off more as friends.

Naw man, Thancred is/was in love with Minfilia. I always thought Y'shtola and my character would get along fine, if you know what I mean =P
