Well, there too are significant discounts on Steam when paying for games in Mexico. However I've always payed 13 USD in MXN for my Entry subscription and $15 for Standard. I don't think there's supposed to be a discount in that, Steam payment is only a means for paying your sub if you don't have a debit or credit card.

I hope it's a mistake. They may have intended to raise prices, but doing it with no warning is really unfair.

With due respect, based on the conversion rate... that's what the rest of us have been paying all along.

edit: I pay $14.99 a month in US dollars and according to https://coinmill.com/BRL_USD.html that is 47.69 BRL.

As I said before, the problem the OP is complaining is the lack of warning before the changes (From what I understand). I told my sister about the changes and she was kinda upset as well with the fact there was not even an announcement, the actual pricings didn't upset her, since that's pretty much the price I pay (I use entry sub tho, so it's somewhat cheaper).

Oh yeah for sure, there should have been an announcement. My comment was more for people saying basically "gg now I can't play!" I mean.. that sucks of course... but... it wasn't overly fair for people to be paying so much less to begin with.

did anybody contacted SQEX about the prices? if someone already did then we just have to wait for a response.

after all, nobody, i really mean nobody would like a raise in what they are paying without any warning. be us brazillians, americans, russians, aliens from the moon, eorzeans, nobody would like to have a raise on subscriptions without at least a explaining about it.

its not about we feeling special, its about wanting for a clear explanation on why did it change.

people who pay with bank slips arent going to pay BRL 47. but 50.

Here in Brazil, the basic salary is around 800 BRL

In EUA is around 1200 USD, converting it is 3800 BRL.

Your 15 dollars is waaaaaay more accessible for US citizens than us who was paying 31 BRL before the adjustments.

We have a higher ping and a lot of less support.

So yes, I think it's fair for us to pay 31 BRL.

Too bad players are know to exploit these locations to pay less.

You'll have to either travel to Brazil and switch your country to this AND have a brazilian credit or debit card to be able to use your Steam wallet in this country, or have a friend who can set it up for you. Proxys do not always work as steam detects these and this can get you banned.

for example, school teacher wage in Russia 300 euros.
so without steam "price adjust" it too expensive to play.
I can't play with 3x prices. it too expensive for disabled person like me T_T
