It's seems some countries were paying a set price rather then paying 13.99 USD converted to local currency on steam and SE decided to change it to what it should be.

While I think it's fair that everyone pays the same amount, I don't think it's fair to have a change like this happen with no notice.

I'm in the USA so I've never been aware of this problem. I kind of assumed everyone paid in USD because that currency is relatively stable in value and inflation is pretty low (which is important to a company of course).

I wonder if this was on purpose or not. Seems like it must be a mistake if there was no announcement attached. AFAIK the BRL hasn't suddenly tanked in value or anything (in fact it looks like it's gone up in value since a couple of years ago).

However, the discussion should likely focus around the change in price, instead of more subjective terms like "fairness" and "entitlement", since those discussions can be very inflammatory. Can you confirm the new prices for BRL for standard subscription (14,99 USD) to be 47,00 BRL via Steam Wallet(Brazil)? Before today it was 32BRL
I mean, here in Brazil, a lot of people plays via steam because the USD-BRL ratio there make the subscription cheaper and closer to our reality.
