That's the hope right? With enough people voicing their concerns, across all the language barriers, eventually something will get done?I wasn't expecting large changes to the drk with 4.05, so I'm not absolutely disappointed. I wanted more effective changes (maybe the return of shadow skin), but had a feeling they would be tiny bumps here and there. I'm not crossing my fingers for better tweaks in the following patches, but it never hurts to dream for something better.

I think now that Warriors and Scholars got their buffs, there's going to be plenty of awareness on our issues now. This thread alone went to 1.9k views in only a few hours.
So to us Dark Knights: Lets be vocal about where and why we need changes.
I just don't understand. It feels like SE just doesn't care about drk at the moment. They made it sound like we'd have just a couple more buffs. Guess I was overly optimistic in hoping that theyd tweak DP, but alas tis not this day. Maybe a buff to BP with some defense to help our struggling mitigation. Honestly, I wanna know who it was at SE that looked at the drk 4.0 changes and gave the thumbs up. Because they clearly don't play this job.

There has always been this feeling with DRK, looking back over past patch notes, they tweak and fiddle about with arbitrary crap that doesn't need breaking/fixing, and straight-up ignore half of what the DRK community is screaming at them to change. IDK what the healer community is doing but we should adopt their strategy, seems like every single patch they have a paragraph each in the patch notes.
There hasn't been a good, well-designed change to Dark Knight as a job since the Blood Weapon buff in 3.07.

It's not bad enough for people to say S-E doesn't care about X job. They just don't do heavy changes until they see Savage performance statistics. If there's a big imbalance in high-end content then they are prone to pushing out big knee-jerk buffs. But yeah, for people really hoping that their favorite job would be on par for their role for Savage content day 1 then it's disappointing.

At this point is clear to me that the team is struggling to turn what has always been a DPS-like Job concept into a decently tuned (As in not under/over powered) tank Job.
Also, as many pointed out already: Adding a defensive buff to Blood Price would be a very good first step into fixing our mitigation issues. Blood Weapon works as MP generation, Blood generation AND attack buff. Why can't Blood Price be a MP generation, Blood generation AND defensive buff? This way it wouldn't feel pointless to waste Delirium on it.

As a whole they flood the forums and reddit. Likewise I don't usually see the other healers shooting down their requests or ideas to problems like we'll see on the tank side. (Ie Paladins previously telling Warriors they deserved to have issues due to them being underwhelming in HW).There has always been this feeling with DRK, looking back over past patch notes, they tweak and fiddle about with arbitrary crap that doesn't need breaking/fixing, and straight-up ignore half of what the DRK community is screaming at them to change. Thanks SE for leaving my main job in the toilet. You really did great shafting DRK.
*Slow clap*

Ok putting it plainly DRK before this patch was far from being the worst class to play OR being the one that needed the most urgent fixing whatever the hyperbole/salt/doom&gloom crowd claimed.
It's good that warrior, scholar and machinist got their emergency fix and this time DRK got some band aid (which honestly i approve, especially the addition of the secondary effect on qiuetus) but coming 4.1 the team must resolve situation like dark passenger or the nullification of DA+AD.

Quietus is giving about 5% MP a hit, so at 5 targets it's paying for a Dark Arts. That along with Blood Weapon/Price and Salted Earth should allow for some decent DAAD usage, even if not to the extent we used to. At 5 targets a single Blood Weapon+Quietus pays off a DADP.
At this point I think we can look at our survivability against packs as having been improved, and it would be better for us to have them look over our single target mitigation. Better The Blackest Night time, shorter Shadow Wall recast, Dark Mind having use against physical damage, Souleater healing being applied, even if only partially, when out of Grit.
