What sort of effect would have made an AoE skill something you'd use outside of large pulls anyway?
I don't expect the gain to be much anyway. They clearly didn't like you being able to chain several DA ADs together from large mobs, so I'm expecting it to be barely worth it. Or maybe even reduce the amount gained for each target hit.
Then again, it could be a full MP regain.


Large pulls is probably the point. More MP means it'll be easier to get out some Dark Arts Abyssal Drains.
So I had a look at the DRK consolidated thread in the JP forum which is over 144 pages.. overall it seems like they share a lot of our concerns. From what I can tell from google translate at least..

DRKs combo potency is getting changed. About time I say! Patch notes come out, only for me to find we get a 20 potency increase for SE. But why? Dark Passenger remains the same. But why? I think its safe now for all DRK mains who haven't done so already to remove that skill from their hotbar, theres no real reason to use it unless your about to go over your mana capacity from Delirium or SS. Who makes these decisions? And whoever it is, have they even played the class to the fullest and not realised what is still the problem with this class?


Patch notes were a colossal let-down, mostly because they did exactly what I expected them to do. Sad. We really, really need to complain and rage on a 3.0 BRD/4.0 WAR level if we want any traction.
Oh well it seems its pld full time for me...very disappointed that drk hasnt changed much at all. Potency buff on soul eater and mp restore on quietus is just weird. Drk survivabililty is where it hurts...a 10 sec duration on TBN at the very least would have given me some kind of hope...
I wasn't expecting large changes to the drk with 4.05, so I'm not absolutely disappointed. I wanted more effective changes (maybe the return of shadow skin), but had a feeling they would be tiny bumps here and there. I'm not crossing my fingers for better tweaks in the following patches, but it never hurts to dream for something better.
