Protect and what it means to you.

Hello healers of FFXIV, I would like to suggest an amazing macro for Protect or any other Role Action.

/macroicon Protect
/macroerror off
/aaction Largesse off
/aaction Protect on
/ac "Protect" <me>
/wait 3
/aaction Protect off
/aaction Largesse on

What this macro does is uses Protect and then switches to another Role Action for the duration of a fight. Note it cannot be used in battle, but is quite advantageous when no has to be revived during a fight as it allows use of another Role Action. Simply replace Largesse with another Role action in the macro.

And as much as people like you want to keep spreading that macro around everywhere, it's still worthless in a raid, where Protect is frequently needed mid-fight after rezzing someone.
