More interested in housing than the job changes right now. My fc has been waiting for it so we can (attempt) to get our large in shirogane or somewhere else that opens.

That being said, I'm liking the way the changes are sounding even with the buffs and nerfs but we shall see how it all works out.

None of those are best parts, they are just what you think may help you more. they are very minimal.

They are what YOU think are best, so that did not answer my question.

UI preference is completely subjective. I like the UI in FFXIV and hate it in WoW.

Best is subjective. So yes. I did answer your question. Many of the things I mention are highly demanded in the community - see the 60+ page thread on inventory issues.

I don't have inventory issues, Nor do a large majority of people who don't hoard every crafting item in existence and i like FFXIV UI a lot more.

SO no, you didn't, in fact i would argue they are the WORST parts, Perhaps i have to teach you how opinions work?

    2) How so? A .75% rDPS increase *if* all the others jobs are physical and *if* all are in range when popped? Trick Attack shits on Embolden. Hell I'd say BL shits on Embolden.
    3) Brings with it the idea that healers can be lazy/overreliance on RDM's rez to the point that I've seen pug healers neglect healing entirely cuz "Oh the RDM can just pick them up, I'll keep dpsing"
    4) Sure. When not using point 3.
    5) I know! Reminds me of BLM 2.x, I loved how simple and unbound to timers it was back then.
    1) Why wouldn't we? If people are exploiting a glitch in the design, the devs need to address it, which would technically nerf RDM's damage output. You cannot handwave a glitch people are actively utilizing to increase their damage.
    2) Utility is now exclusively damage buffs. The fact Red Mage has one in addition to Verraise and Vercure only emphasises the enormous versatility the job offers relatively to its counterparts.
    3) You do not balance jobs around bad players. If healers are being lazy about raises, you kick them. On the flip side, I had seen and heard many Red Mages purposely letting a party wipe because they didn't want to waste mana on non-DPS abilities.

The point people are making is Red Mage lacks major drawbacks for what it offers. Ninja is getting a slight nerf. Pointing it actually hurts your argument. Regardless, I would prefer they start with buffs to the other casters, however as stated earlier, there is only so many buffs you can do before power creep occurs. Their fear of nerfing jobs led to Bard and Machinist pushing out the casters when Creator rolled around.

Sorry, I'd have to agree with Blood-Aki. You said they should be taking the "best things from WoW" and then listed things that are completely subjective. You may think they are the "best" but objectively they haven't been proven to be so.

Why should SE change anything due to someone's subjective opinion?

Literally what people want in a video game is subjective. Arguing this is pointless. Goes the other way, too: what YOU think is best is not necessarily best in other people's eyes.

As for inventory issues... if you don't think it's a problem, take a look at the 60+ page thread on it with hundreds of likes.

The thing is that if you hate WoW's UI you're free to change it, they give you the means to do it.

If you hate FFXIV's, tough luck, because add-on support is never gonna happen.

    • Bag integration. I have a 1440p screen, let me see the whole inventory at once instead of having to click on tabs.
    • UI mods can even store information. Such as remember all my retainer inventory, retainer gear, market listing etc on my local hard disk and be able to answer things like "hey did I have this listed on the market" regardless of where my character is.
    • Better crafting log. Recursive shopping list. Remembering all my retainer inventory from the last time I accessed my retainers so I don't have to right click each material just to check how many of each mat I have. Clicking once into a mat to go to its crafting page instead of two clicks.
    • Extra pop-up hotbars for seldomly used things. Like holding down the "~" key pops up a wheel-shape hotbar for my gearsets, instead of taking up one of the only 8 hotbars.
    • Proper flying combat text. Shut out other people's damage numbers. Display only my misses in bigger red font, etc.
    • Separate my buff and debuff displays into two UI frames so I can place them at different places.
    • Customized teleport list, pinning as many destinations as I want.
    • In-game memo pad.

The possibilities are endless. UI mods are not just about combat. FFXIV is not good enough. People are just used to its much lower standard, or have never really experienced the better UI mods in other games (such as in WoW) and don't know how life can be many times better than the FFXIV UI.

Unless, of course, you think all of the above are "playing the game for you ^^" and should not be allowed, then I guess there's nothing to discuss and mods are evil.
