let's be realistic here though. bard's and mch were already a sliver apart in dps on single targets. these buffs alone should push good mch into the realm of caster dps let alone any other buffs in store that havent been announced yet. Thats also not saying anything for the potency scaling advantage that mch have over bards. It looks like it's going to be HW all over again. mch last at release then mch overbuffed every patch until they do so much damage even the bad players are doing good damage on the class with clunky mechanics.

You seem to be missing the part where the reason MCH were far more desirable was because they overbuffed hypercharge on top of raising our personal DPS. This also didn't happen over a long period of patches. They fixed our GB being a dps loss. A few hot QoL changes. And our big powershift came with the aforementioned buff at 3.2 which threw us straight to the top. I should also remind you that patch 3.2 took half a year and an entire raid tier later.

These changes thus far give us close to a ~100 dps increase (remove the 5% DPS from an 80th percentile MCH. Multiply by 1.08% instead). Bards perform ~20 DPS (using extrapolation) higher than MCH while also providing almost 1% more rDPS (Hypercharge is a potential 1% but with the average 15% uptime ends up being 0.625%. Foe+crit+Battlevoice hits close to 1.7%) which can equate to ~100-180 (adjusting down for uptime) more overall dps
    So 100 - 20 (the difference) = 80 over in personal
Take that 80 and weigh it against the rDPS difference between us and BRDs which puts us to 20-100 in your favor. This is assuming that we don't see more overall changes other than QoL ones for heat management. They said "and more" so that's what I would be expecting.

The only thing realistic, my friend, is that you should do your math more. Short of them over buffing hypercharge again, we will still be competitive with each other. . .
This is also a rather weird thing to cause somebody concern given the very visible and easily identifiable difference in performance between BRD and MCH right now

You're talking about overload, yes? Overload has absolutely no effect on wildfire damage.

I'm not sure how to feel about the 'adjustments' yet. It doesn't feel like a buff or nerf.....it certainly doesn't feel like they are addressing core complaints.

That's what it looks like (so far) which will be a pain but it hasn't dropped yet, I'm hoping they change their minds, more than likely they wont until they see peoples reactions to it. It looks like they want us to build heat at a more manageable rate, but without a ability to vent that heat in low level dungeons I feel is a nerf in the end. I am also getting tired of this idea that a class is balanced around their last 10 levels mentality that is growing with certain classes. I get the fact MCH starts at level 30, it honestly should play "fine" out of the gate, that's why I'm against the "nerf" to quick reload. It seems backwards to me. I want to feel like I am improving while leveling, not just waiting for a core mechanic to unlock so I can play it "right."

While the additional damage is welcome I would have liked to see actual support skills more. But I suspect the whole support part gets phased out more and more for MCH.

Why would you want to vent heat at low level anyways? You don't get heated shots till 64, before that you WANT to overheat as much as you can.
