I don't do super pulls as a tank. I feel confident enough that I could do it, I just don't want to because I see it as a negligible gain of time and unnecessary stress on the group.

There was this one tiume, though, where our Healer was obviously over-geared and wanted me to pull more, until he eventually started pulling mobs himself.

So I don't really think "super tanks" are the problem. Players in a hurry are the problem.

Although the healer reacted in a crappy way I can understand their frustration. It annoys me when people pull 2-3 mobs I can heal them very easily and dps very easily. But I know I could pump out way more damage had the pulls been bigger and still handled the cures.

Also I like to see Gravity go off it looks awesome :P

When I tank I do not like the big pulls, but felt pressured by healers and dps to do the big pulls. I know that when I heal I like to take care of smaller groups. Seen too many tanks think they can handle it only to blow all the mana using cure three. I found out many tanks do not know what protective cools downs are and then question if I know how to heal.

Frankly I might just continue to let my black list grow. I kind of wished that to pull multiple groups would be fatal no matter if it is at level.

I found your problem. Healing a mass pull is really hard if you don't know your kit. :P

If you use Cure 3, then it's not just the tank's fault - either the DPS take damage or you think Cure 3 is an upgraded Cure 2 and thus suck.

I do superpull, there is no a problem to do it.
The problem is like if i complain to the healer if i die, i don't expect all healers to be top healer, so if there a problem when you do a superpull even if you put enough CD. its just mean you have to pull less.
If you stay correct with others, there no problem... as tank you can adapt to your healer skill.
The real problem is just when players get salty and i can't understand when players get salty for a little dungeon.

    *shameless bump*

This has been a major pain in the ass for me lately.

As a new player - I'm getting rather fed up with "bad ass super tank" mentality.

My game goes from "enjoyable" to "high stress have a heart attack" because of someones inability to think past his own armor codpiece. (pardon the color-isms)

Yes...I have survived (not succeeded) many "super pulls" - but this makes my dungeon experience horrible.

All in the name of.... an extra minute or two of successfully finishing a dungeon?

You don't gain anything from it....I fail to see the benefit of such a mindset.

If i get yelled at for failing - I'll just be blunt - stop pulling so much.
If they don't like it..they can kiss my white mage rear end and leave. :P

Sadly..I've started leveling a tank myself - and ill be considerate of my party over myself - tanks don't do crap without the party...always been the case. Their purpose is to soak aggro...not make kills.

Tanks dont make kills - they soak aggro so DPS can kill and healers can heal.
When your healer is doing more damage than anyone else - its either because the tank is doing a superb job or DPS is doing a bad job.
When DPS is tanking - Tank isn't doing his job.
    Healers don't tank.

There's a reason the system was designed this way - why people push it to its limits is understandable - but don't do it at the expense of others.

Like when I experience skalla for first time...and all I get are people whining about "Gated mobs" and mechanics.

I am a healer and i have no issue with this, as long as the tank uses buffs which they do 95% of the time, i even dps too. If a tank decides to do regular pulls, i don't tell them to pull everything either.

Know your skills, know your spells, know your job.

Once you know these, you have nothing to worry about or apologize for if they die, assuming you didn't forget to heal of course xD
