I had the "joy" of experiencing this FATE for a first time yesterday. The lag was insane. I kept seeing d/c icons and I couldn't tell if I was attacking or what. I think the only reason I didn't d/c was because I was ranged dps. Got bronze, like most people.
I have no idea what to suggest about improving it. Maybe make it spawn more frequently.
