Yeah. I'm starting to come to terms that Geomancer might not come as soon, due to other class demand like Blue Mage or Dancer. Geomancer gets overlooked a lot.Just like what others have said already, it's going to be a tank and a healer. They'll go for the ones that are popular demand but it also depends if it's relevant to the expansion.
People ask for Dancer and Blue Mage the most, then there's Chemist, Beastmaster and Geomancer.
As a tank I think Blue Mage can be one if they took the liberties. Another would be I think Mystic Knight.
For healers it's Dancer or Chemist assuming they'll use that name but whatever.
To make them more interesting, I think we need a (pure) magical-damaging tank and a physical-damaging healer that mainly debuffs.
It really stinks I had to wait so long for it in XI. Would hate for history to repeat itself.
well we assume that thats what will be the outcome come 5.0. We just dont know. Im not entirely sure how they see tanks and ealers still. Would be pretty crushing if they didnt add a new tank and healer...bit I would have to make a more educated decsion midway, or near the end of this patch. Personally I liked the Geomancer from tactics, but he wasnt the classic bell wielding one from the original series. Theres plenty of ways they can do it, like utiliing feng shui and getting their power from aether spots/wells in hydalens surface, or something.
Given that, theres still room for a caster, or tp based or however they want to make the job. Healer or dps, or even tank. So dont lose hope, its not a bad job, its actually one of the coller ones I'd like to see make it in this game

On top of that Yoshida has pretty much shot down Blue Mage multiple times with the same reasoning and given his same idea that's been consistent over the years of if he did do it, it would be some kind of solo content and not an actual battle job.
These things, combined with him stating he feels he got all the widely requested "must haves" added to the game and wants to add unique jobs means it's highly likely we will be seeing just that come 5.0. New jobs fit to the world of FFXIV. At most we may see one classic FF job and one new one, but even that is less likely.
You say Berserker can't because of Warrior, yet that same logic disqualifies a lot of your list.
- Blue Mage (possible)
- Time Mage (Nope, We have AST)
- Mystic Knight (possible but doubftul)
- Mime (not a snowball's chance in hell)
- Beastmaster (potential but given Yoshida's own comments from the last Fanfest, won't be for a very long time)
- Geomancer (CNJ/WHM and AST prevent this given how GEO is represented in 4.0.
- Dancer (plausible but unlikely, while requested it doesn't have really widespread)
- Chemist (possible)
- Necromancer (Highly unlikely but possible if they continue to shift SMN away from dots)
- Cannoneer (Nope, MCH)
- Oracle (Possible)

Whatever it is.. I hope it's a tank and/or healer so people will rush to play it/them.
We definitely see unique jobs come to XIV and I'm curious to see what else they can come up with. Yoshida did say in the same interview that classes limit jobs. So once they eventually remove classes, I can see them repurposing them as individual jobs. I'd like to stay hopeful for GeomancerExactly this.

Necromancer - Stave
(Aoe centric DPS akin to 3.x SMN) Void magic.
(Could honestly reuse Ascian animations)
Phys Ranged: 5.0
Shikari - Blunderbuss/Handcannon or Crossbow.
(Combination of Corsair and Gun Mage/BLU.) Has the GB/WM cast mechanic.
Healer: 5.0
Dancer - Chakrams
(Melee/ TP based healer)
