I was going of the reasoning he gave instead of possible tone. You could be right for point a or b, however I still feel the better way to handle would be choice material drops instead of giving out items crafters have to spend a lot of gil on to make. Either way it doesn't affect me, I happily got the 3 mog weps I wanted from PotD. I still feel the same way on the matter though.

The demand will fall, the mats will get cheaper and the crafters will still make a profit. Or .. the price will fall beyond crystal/cluster costs and crafters will move on to another source of profit. I'm not seeing a downside for anyone but the people who depended solely on huge windfalls from farming/crafting those particular weapons.
I'll always stand by making things more available to all players instead of weighing it in the favor of "hardcore" or "elite" people.
