At the very least I wish they'd unlock all the hats, gloves and boots. They need minimal reworking (if any, in most cases - a lot of the hats don't even fit right on a lot of heads/hair as-is) and it adds options without ruffling anyone's feathers about their individual culturally-biased gender hangups. And who doesn't want more boots to choose from?

More gears designed specific for one of each gender, less boring unisex gear

I will not elaborate as to why I dont want it as I have done this multiple times already in some other threads and it really never ends well.
Pretty sure quite a few people know my stance as they have been following those other said threads before too, so yeah.

No, I do not want this.
    Same. No on this

I'm for unlocking the gender-specific gear. As someone who desperately wanted the Aymeric coat only to be gender blocked once it was released, I'm all for it. I will say this though, I am impressed they seemed to learn from past set mistakes. I HATED that the drachen armor midriff was cut-out for girls, not because of any big reasons -- just because I'm a character fan girl and it wasn't accurate to Estinien's armor. The last two Dragoon sets, however were the same for both genders. That made me immensely happy as I got to wear my favorite characters' armor. I think that would be a better compromise -- design gear that looks great for both genders but if they MUST make gender only items restrict it to Mog station purchase. Yes I know that includes my Aymeric coat, but I'll live, lol.

Like what, you mean a select few "dresses"? like how SAM AF is a dress? (Hakama) i really hope you aren't going that route. Some things can look decent on males such as the select few items, and some can make males look a little "girly" but they are few and far in between, not a large epidemic, But as i said, no worries of this happening.

Ask for more male specific outfits to fit them, Nothing wrong with that.

It's more the actual skirts (they added a dyeable glamour miniskirt during HW which looks just as fabulous on men as it does on women) and things like the original AST AF, which was specifically designed in the words of the art team to be a feminine garment with skirts and shawl. In any case, rather than derailing by making this into a war on skirts, can anyone explain why men can equip succubus horns (succubi are, by definition, always female) but not bunny ears (both male and female bunnies exist). Female characters can wear almost anything they like, whereas male characters can wear certain flowers in their hair but not other flowers. For no reason. It's a huge contradictory mess of nonsense at this point.

Stormblood Whm artifact makes you look like a princess as a woman. I'm not sure why male players want to dress like a princess.
You can argue it looks better but reality of the situation is you as a male will Probably not look great in some whm pumps and knee high socks singing goodbye horses nono.

Was that a stereo type? Sorry.

You want equal gear looks looks? You will only succeed at making less gear changes between male and female. Why? Because it is statistically more acceptable across the world for women to wear male clothing then man to wear womens

Yes, but the horns that my very manly man can wear in FFXIV are specifically called 'Succubus' horns. It's confusing when one minute they're hyper-sensitive about gender segregation in item names and concepts, then the next they don't care and we can equip miniskirts, thigh-high stockings, painted fingernails and electric pink lipstick. Which is it?!

We have been conditioned by things like the WHM AF2 bridal stockings and the Evenstar pumps. We know we look great now so the cat is well and truly out of the bag. Seriously, if I can already wear those cutesy caster bootees then there is no kind of shoe in Eorzea that should be blocked by gender (and don't even get me started on the ilv110/110 PVP sets).

Strange how many people on the Internet passionately hate the male body.

Can I pick a girl character with an A cup? Can I play as a girl character with more "manly" emotes and animations?

Also there may be players who choose a male character for roleplaying reasons.

At the end, it's not about wanting to play as a female character, we just want the cute clothes :3c

... or just having the equal amount of available gear.
