Good stuff peoplePersonally, I don't think it's about how 'good' you are, but if you just really enjoy doing it is what makes it great.
And man, Randis, when I saw your name on the forum, I was like "There's no way that's him!" I've always dug that vampire picture with the chair.
I do watercolor, myself. I leave the digital stuff to the people that know how to do it (I barely do more than scribbles on the computer!)

@ Keith_Dragoon
Oh but that's ok, it is normal, all artists did start at a point where they were not skillful at all.
It is just a matter of practice and motivation.
@ Neptune
You have a band?
@ Rentahamster
Thank you!
@ Lunae
Thank you!
I checked out your gallery! You have a great Talent,
very nice compositions and use of media.
I have seen a great deal of FF art, also FF XIV fan art of pixiv, there must be many japanese artists around as well. i'd post a invite thread in the J forums to share some art but i cant write japanese.

i did a couple simple FF Theme based paintings some time ago for fun:
and the one on the left is a homage to Yoshitaka Amono, an artists i personally like a lot.

Lots of very talented people here! I'm enjoying this thread immensely. ^^
This really makes me want to practice with my Ituos tablet more. I just have so much trouble with the disconnect between the tablet and my screen, and feel like such a klutz whenever I try -- usually causing me to run back to a traditional artboard just to check if I can still draw. ><
I'll post something on the Japanese forum area with a link to this thread. I don't think too many people would come over here and post, but maybe we can get a similar thread going on the Japanese side?
sure, can try.
Maybe when some people see the artworks on this thread they might like to join.
I have a pixiv account as well. http://www.pixiv.net/member.php?id=1147678
That's a japanese art community site.
The problem with the tablet usage is common, it simply will take a while to get used to.
Try to see it more as a input device like your mouse.
also not being able to rotate the actual canvas like paper takes some time to get used too.
But in the end it is worth it because the digital media has much to offer.

You can only rotate the digital canvas, the one you see on the screen and that is not what i was talking about.
Try rotating your tablet, you will see that it it will make drawing nearly impossible, erg you have to get used to a different approach. Drawing with a tablet is different than drawing n paper.
