To the OP - I'm sorry to hear you had that experience, for sure. SE had a difficult time in terms of feedback on those dungeons in ARR as this argument has been done to death.
As a result, all MSQ dungeons following the Praetorium have very limited cutscene length so while this problem does still kinda exist to a point (some people will not wait, period), this is well in the minority - the vast majority will happily wait for newbies. Praetorium was an extreme case since it was a good 20 minutes of cutscene mid dungeon. It's a shame since I loved that part of the Praetorium.
That said, make sure you report the shit out of the douchebag who wrote that paragraph of spoilers. That's just not on.
"...ppl like you kinda get it...?" Uh....do WUH? Everyone has always either guided, gone back for or explained sufficiently to every noob torn or confused as to what is expected or what they can do with these two instances. I've NEVER seen anyone left in the lurch. "...ppl like you...." I beg your pardon. Maybe people like you should learn some manners before attempting to post on forums.
The short last boss intro? That's when you keep watching and leave everyone to die inside. Their fault for not checking if everyone was ready.
Yoshi-P is doing his best and is patching Endwalker. Please wait warmly until it is ready.
I agree. I'm not gonna wait for some leafer to watch a cut scene longer then the dungeon runs forI don't want to be that guy, but I will:
I am part of the problem and don't care. If you want to watch cutscenes that take LONGER than the dungeon in a random DF run, I (and the whole rest of the raid) are going to run ahead, finish the dungeon and leave you chain watching cutscenes.
What I tell CS watchers to do when I see them is:
A) Start a PF and look for lore fans or other first timers
B) Skip the cutscenes, join up with us and smash this THEN go back and watch it in the unending journey
Y'know you can leave a newbie behind to watch the CS without being a total jackass about it.
At this point, we'll have to agree to disagree, but you can't possibly tell me the spoiling of the story, which to me was the worst part, was in anyway okay. I feel like that part is being ignored for the other part of the conversation that has been reiterated constantly.
If that was to me, I said nothing about rewards, so I am unsure where this comment came from. If not at me, then carry on.

We didnt ask for rewards, thats SE's design. He was lucky they carried him
I don't wait on ppl to watch cutscenes, but don't mind if they watch them.
What I don't like is getting new players that feel the 7 other ppl in the group should cater to them.
Then you've got ppl who try to sabotage the run because they don't get their way. Cutscenes are over but xyz class decides they aren't going to participate at all, save maybe using a tank limit break...
The 7 other ppl in your party are not there to be servants to new players. Some people would see a great improvement to their overall experience via getting over themselves.
I did that dungeon for the first time two years ago and it was terrible then as well. I was completely new to the game and didn't know much. I thought cutscenes were the norm. Everytime I was in a cutscene the rest of the group would jump to the next fight, I wasn't able to participate in any of the fights and I got lost and no one was helpful. It was my first really sour experience in the game. After that I learned that I can watch cutscenes in the inn and the next time I went back I skipped them and enjoyed the fights. It is what it is.
