    The devs already admitted long ago that the praetorium and the other end-dungeon design was a failure. In newer content they usually put long cutscenes before joining the dungeon or after beating the isntance.

    If you want a story experience I suggest to maybe get 1-2 friends at level 70 and do it unsynched (it's more epic to be only a group of 2-3 anyways).

    And yet they still haven't fixed it. Sure, they haven't repeated the same problem elsewhere, but in all this time they haven't done anything about where it is now (which is far too pivotal a point at which to leave the storyline broken like this). It needs to be changed from a party mission into a solo mission.

    My only remaining hope is that the upcoming change for being able to take our GC squads into combat instances includes these two dungeons. Then it'd be possible to go back and finally find out what the ARR story was supposed to be. (I don't know how likely that is, since it would require significantly more than chocobo-level AI on the part of our squad. They'd have to actually understand mechanics.)
