BLM needs some love and RDM needs a nerf

I find that odd as well especially since they are the second highest dps http://ffxiv.2digitalgames.de.

Further more as easy as some of the other jobs are nothing is easier than black Mage.

This has nothing to do with the topic.
But please do not take the dummy HP information as an actual representation of dps.
First, SE sets that HP (hence why any decently geared player clears this with like 20 seconds left).
Second, that's dummy dps. Dps in a vacuum- once mechanics kick in, your real dps shows. When BLM has to juggle movement and cds to try and dps while doing mechanics, when MNK can lose GL stacks, when SMN needs to time Bahamut so it's not messed up by a transition. That's why RDM does so well right now- it can run around half the time and has no stacks/stances/whatever worries. The real dps is almost the dummy dps as they get affected by mechanics the least...

If you look at actual fight data, you'll see BLM coming in a slightest bit ahead of RDM and SMN quite a bit behind.
That's why dummy dps is fairly meaningless.

Untrue, BLM is one of the hardest jobs to master. Easy to learn, hard to master because the moment you screw around
dancing within AOE's you're done for. BLM's have to memorize mechanics almost more than anyone else
or they lose their DPS and buffs. I dunno how BLM plays now but Ley Lines buff help a lot. It's still a pain
in the ass trying to keep up with everything. RDM kinda took it's spot.
Dualcast reigns supreme. - Double heals - Double Res - Most mobility essentially "on the go" caster thanks to Dual.

BLM has a simple rotation, not the simplest, that title goes to RDM. But I would not call BLM easy, it IS the most challenging caster to master in heavy mechanic fights. You're talking to a former BLM who actually quit the job during 3.0 because of this.

I just can't be bothered anymore. Again, no idea how BLM plays now.
I'm sure they still dance around AoE's even with LL.

RDM = needs a minor nerf.
SMN = needs a minor buff.

Yes, BLM is in need of a buff that puts him in the level of samurai, "OHHH BUT SAMURAI IS OP", no, it's not, stop it, a job that brings nothing to the table but a slashing debuff that 2 other classes already have NEEDS to deal that much damage otherwise he is just becoming HW's monk.

RDM and SMN bring around the same level of utility, and have around the same freedom to move, so they should deal almost the same damage at the end of the day.

Not to mention the fact that regarding BLM and SMN, if you miss refreshing Enochian or miss your Deathflare (boss disappear, out of body experience (new dungeon)), ...), you feel so low and useless... when RDM dont have any "timing" pressure whatsoever... (not to mention MCH wildfire...)

I'm a MCH refugee who's gone back to BLMing up the EX primals all weekend. BLM is great, I love it. RDM and BLM are just different strokes.

Hate breaking it to ya, but as Yoshi's main was the blm, we saw the love that was given to that job, compared to SMN to that time. So him showing up as SAM or RDM in most of the live videos, we can assume and look forward to much more love thrown at both of these jobs. The day that changes, we will see a change made to the actual BLM and maybe even put SMN back were it was in 3.x, because currently that job is beyond a nightmare to play.

You should be able to get T3, B4, Foul, and F3 all in the same umbral ice stage.

Tried to use b4 only if foul charges in UI, with most foul usage in AF and my dps on dummy was literally same if not more.(~4200 with proper rotation, 4350 without b4, 4min runs)...

Yoshi has been around as a blm throughout the years he nerfed it to the floor and kept buffing stupid potencies by 10s.

Him being a blm main means diddly squat in my eyes because it didnt stop him from making anti turret changes to a turret job.
