Making new cls op isn't the right way... they get boring to fast most of my fc already left those jobs cause there is nothing to "master" anymore after 3 weeks (?)... SB in generell is way too easy imo : /They needed to make Samurai and Red Mages better and worth enough to make people who loved their class to move a bit to explore and try those two new classes. I believe that when enough people will get their hype over and that most people will have played them until 70, then SE will be able to balance the game better to make the class choice wider and more fair.
They just try to give a reason to people to level up more classes as we can level up every classes with a same character. So we play more without being bored too quickly.

I find that odd as well especially since they are the second highest dps http://ffxiv.2digitalgames.de.
Further more as easy as some of the other jobs are nothing is easier than black Mage.

rotation wise yes BLM is easy but in an actual fight it's the hardest job in the game
and I think BLM should have the highest dps since they have the least utility out of all jobs
SAM has a slashing debuff as a great utility to help tanks
SMN has old mch and bard utility to choose from + devotion which buffs a healer or a tank defense or a melee dmg
RDM has a nice raid wide physical dmg buff and heals
all BLM brings is their own damage + the role skills which can be used by other casters

BLM has a simple rotation, not the simplest, that title goes to RDM. But I would not call BLM easy, it IS the most challenging caster to master in heavy mechanic fights. You're talking to a former BLM who actually quit the job during 3.0 because of this.I find that odd as well especially since they are the second highest dps http://ffxiv.2digitalgames.de.

Devotion is more a "random" buff comparable with the rng of Asts cards - to use it effectively either you have to stop your rota or one of your grp has to chase your egi - in both ways someone lose dps. So mostlikely you just throw it randomly for a small buff on the one who stands nearby. It's nice to have but nothing you can seriously calculate with.
Just sayin. It's in no way an utility which is outstanding : /

Dummy parses =/= practical dps. BLM is a great DPS in those fights but requires a bit much, the problem is the other casters are too close to BLMs level of damage for the things they offer on the side.I find that odd as well especially since they are the second highest dps http://ffxiv.2digitalgames.de.
Blm doesnt have much in the ways of offerinh something to a raid so its technically back to being : baby sit me and ill bring the deeps or i follow mechanics but my damage and skill will scale inversely proportional to whats happening.
Rdm on the other hand doesnt have to even pay attention to what buttons theyre pressing so long as they follow basic arithmetic while offering raid saving abilities (that ive personally used) and smn is close behind them.
Now im fine with it so long as my raid team is ok with those classes all coming within relative dps of each other and i chose the one thatll help the least, but i respect my raid team enough to level rdm just in case.

unfortunately if you want to even think of nerfing RDM , give them an MP return like BLM and SMN have , we dont have our own exclusive one (if you use "you have Lucid Dreaming" then please walk away now as SMN and BLM have this as well....). RDM in a prolonged fight is at the whims of group support (putting MCH and BRDs into much needed demand). and i like how Exiled_Tonberry suggested , just buff BLM and any other jobs that are hurting. whining to nerf a job only hurts it in the long run , and your job your trying to defend to say needs to be buffed doesnt improve , it just doesnt have anything to compare it to anymore.

Unlimited resources is actually one of the main reasons I picked BLM to be my main over RDM. The other one is I like the challenge of trying to master BLM in heavy movement fights.unfortunately if you want to even think of nerfing RDM , give them an MP return like BLM and SMN have , we dont have our own exclusive one (if you use "you have Lucid Dreaming" then please walk away now as SMN and BLM have this as well....). You should be able to get T3, B4, Foul, and F3 all in the same umbral ice stage.
