I can see were you're coming from, but what about FC's? All of the FC's that could be using those houses for airships and workshops certainly number more than a dozen people. I always thought that the wards should've been FC only and instanced housing should've been made available to everyone that wanted a personal house. That way, Yoshi can have his "Community" while we actually get the functionality of the housing system.

Absolutely, I agree that people shouldn't own multiple homes, and that large homes should be reserved for FC usage but I also think people are way too optimistic that if those homes were turned over, they would actually be able to get one. There's more FC's and players than there are suitable housing for them hence I say we shouldn't be getting angry with the players but rather square for their design philosophy.

I'm not going to lie, I moved to Zalera BECAUSE it was dead. It was wonderful seeing all the not owned houses - I got mine- and areas being completely free. Now thanks to SE it's all crowded and ofcourse the houses are all gone. Now it's going to be harder to get a new house in the new area. Thanks SE. Yes I'm aware that I'm whinning about nothing, yes I know it looks bratty, yes I know I'm complaining even tho I already have a house. A med at that. But fuck me... I LIKED zalera when it was small.. fuck.

The best thing that people can do is push for more housing wards to be added for every single server. That should serve to ease things for a little while.

My server had no houses available. My FC and I were able to save for one and buy a small one before they added new wards.
We now moved to a bigger one. Same thing, no houses. We just patiently saved money and grabbed one when the opportunity arised.
Now my FC wants to move to Shirogane, and when I raised the cost of moving they all offered they gil. Makes me proud of having such people around :>

There is no justification, there is no objective right or wrong to the issue, it just is.

The sensible thing to do would be to drop FCs from these residential zones and make the personal housing limited as thus. FCs on the other hand should have been instanced from the start within a zone not unlike a guildhall. Some people do not like feeling like they have to join an already established company, many would prefer keeping to their own company and circle. I feel that should be supported more.

it could be they couldn't find one. Either that or they have no ways of making money, not everyone crafts so not everyone can make millions of billions of gil easy. Ofcourse I don't know but I don't want to tell someone they aren't trying just because I was lucky enough to have the clips fall on my lap. Not everyone has the same luck skill or friends.

Even a low-leveled gather can find lucrative opportunities by examining his gathering log and a market board for a few minutes.

You may even find that you get a leveled crafter or two out of the process...

Left Exodus over a year ago and eventually settled on Mateus, enjoying how small and tight knit the community was there, planned to get an FC house eventually for our FC in a month or so. Then you opened the floodgates form Balmung.

Within a week, there are no no free houses on Mateus after ages of the wards being nearly empty. I recognize names, they're all owned by transfers from Balmung who came over with their hundreds of millions. My FC can't have a house now, none of my friends who were saving for one can, because you were too lazy to bump up their own housing capacity but decided to give them ours instead.
