My server had no houses available. My FC and I were able to save for one and buy a small one before they added new wards.
We now moved to a bigger one. Same thing, no houses. We just patiently saved money and grabbed one when the opportunity arised.
Now my FC wants to move to Shirogane, and when I raised the cost of moving they all offered they gil. Makes me proud of having such people around :>

it could be they couldn't find one. Either that or they have no ways of making money, not everyone crafts so not everyone can make millions of billions of gil easy. Ofcourse I don't know but I don't want to tell someone they aren't trying just because I was lucky enough to have the clips fall on my lap. Not everyone has the same luck skill or friends.

Even a low-leveled gather can find lucrative opportunities by examining his gathering log and a market board for a few minutes.

You may even find that you get a leveled crafter or two out of the process...

Why do you asume I'm a crafter. Check my profile on the Lodestone.
I made gil by other means, and by selling lores when they were relevant.
The single thing I ever sold that was crafted was the manor fireplace, and that's level 30 or less.

There weren't any houses available. As I said, I waited for an opportunity.
I made over 10 million myself when I was starting. Clips didn't fall on my lap, I went to look for them.
I have the worst luck on everything, so I know better than to wait for everything to be granted to me.

Oh and it's worth noting that I played alone with my sister for over a year. This is my second year anniversary, and trust me, I've earned everything I own through hard work.

Well, you replied to MY comment. I for one, do not fit anywhere in your generalized profile. So sorry if I seemed offended, but in reality I was.
Trust me, I've been keeping an eye on the market, selling stuff when it's relevant.
I got my first house on march 2016. FC gave us around 1.5 million, our house cost 5m because we had to give the seller a 2m fee and then purchase the plot for 3m.

So yeah, I said my FC cooperated because the fact that they worked so hard to earn that million gil meant a lot to me since they were just starting. But my sister and I put the mayority of the money for the plot, the house and the furniture. We spent a little over 13m that week. And we did 0 crafting at that time.

I replied to your comment cause you made it out to seem like the OP didn't do shit when we don't know if they did or not, OR why they couldn't get a place. I'm sure there's a few reasons why she didn't or couldn't get one before this all happened is all I'm saying.
