As I see it, someone who jumps to level 60 is no worse off than a player who picked up RDM or SAM.

Takes time to figure out the feel for the class and how it plays. But praying that new players pick classes and go through the amount of time and dungeons of pushing 1- 3 buttons is... yeah. Nothing sucks more for gameplay than using a couple of buttons when your class overall has much more to offer. Thematically and for gameplay.

Who cares. It's a videogame. Y'know, that thing people do for leisure and fun to pass the time.

Really it's a trend used in every other MMO. FF just has a higher learning curve than most but FF is also the only MMO that gates you behind the MSQ. People who boost usually want to either get a max toon so the story is a breeze or get a max toon and to the current story so they can catch up with friends.

Like every other sprouts, if they are doing their job correctly or are willing to learn, fine by me.
If they act like lazy entiteled "I pay my sub + my potion brat" they'll get kicked in the butt

This whole 'please don't say anything even slightly negative' mentality that we seem to be going towards and the devs seemingly pushing towards it is creating a disturbing trend.

As long as they are trying, as a mentor it is my duty to help them

I am not hating on anyone that buys the potion but seeing a healer in the last story trial without much of a idea on how to heal (I as a summoner was the one that rezzed most of the people since they did not even have swiftcast) hurts a bit and it made the run impossible. It was their choice to skip all the early levels and its their choice to do the newest dungeons as someone still new to the game. So they should accept the possibility of being kicked for that.

I would never use a jump potion simply because I want to play the whole game that I bought and because I would be completely overwhelmed by the numbers of abilities. But if I had used a jump potion I would have used my time to look up guides and to run older dungeons first to get a feeling about it. So if someone goes into the newest content without much of a idea about their job I will not insult them but I also see it not as my responsibility to teach them their job. (Especially if its a job I dont have myself at that level) And if the content is not doable with them they will get a kick. If you want tips about your job ask someone outside a instance about it but dont go around and wait for help in a dungeon. Because this mostly needs a complex explanation and after that you also need some training and the group should not have to lose their time for that.

I am highly against the potions but since they exist what can you do.

My issue is when people use them and get into dungeons or party finder and have absolutely no clue what they are doing and it is obvious they did not even try to learn their class. IF they use a potion and perform adequate good for them I have no issue and probably would not mention anything. But if they get into a dungeon and 1) Cannot heal even basic pulls (not overpulling), 2) Have no idea how to tank at all (not holding any hate), 3) Deal 1/8th the amount of dmg they should be dealing at thier GS. I have a major issue because it is effecting my game time.

I follow a simple policy I hold all level 60+ ppl to the same standard if they started 10mins ago or if they have been playing the game for 3yrs that simple and I feel that is an honest standard to follow. If I get DF and get in a low level dungeon then I am ok with explaining things to people because I assume they are new... not in say Ravana, lvl 61 dungeon, steps of faith, the cloud whale, ect. (you cannot learn your job in a more complex battle)

New players who use the boost I feel are obligated to read online, watch videos and hit the practice dummy to learn their jobs. They are not entitled to wipe a party in a dungeon or trial 10-15+ times because they used the P2W method of leveling and were too lazy to try to learn their job.

To be honest though most ppl using boost have been subpar but ok enough to do it. But some are new mmo players I feel who are no where ready for lvl60 content.

If you cant be bothered to put in the work then you get what you deserve.

Or otherwise; you reap what you sow. Growing really tired of the apologetics for self entitled casuals who think skipping everything should have no consequences.

It should be self explanatory that if you're going to skip the training course and try and throw punches with people who know what they are doing, that you are open to whatever comes your way. Encouraging more to skip, on the premise of 'its ok to be a skilless idiot' is so laughable, I wouldn't know where to begin.

I can frame up the same situation with experienced players now lvling SAM and RDM that cannot even use jump potions on these jobs. By simply using roulettes, PVP, PotD to jump to lvl70 and are performing subpar DPS equal or even below tanks. The final story trial and even SusEX have standard XIV dodge and DPS checks and easily shows their lack of skill.

All comes down to the individual's efforts to learn.

Yet another "lets bash low skillset players" post. "Pro" players(and i wish there was a way to emphasize quotation marks) in this game must have a very big idea for themselves. But they seem to be lacking basic decency and social skills. So im gonna make some remarks in the only way possible for them process:

    1) Level boosts are, amongst other things, a healthy catch up way for casuals and people that have come from other games looking to get quicker in action. The only negative thing i see about it, is the price. It should be more expensive, at least 40$. Also, it exists in every big mmo, so, deal with it.
    2) "Bads" will still be "bads" not matter if they start from 60 or -30 billion. You might counter-argue with something like "but leveling and doing dungeons while at it gives you experience on your class". No, not really. There is literaly nothing to be gained from any content below 50 but your average 3 button "rotations" and some pretty dungeons you can see in roulettes if you missed them. People just look for a chance to pick on the little guys. And honestly, there were as many "bads" back in HW and AR as there are now. So, stop complaining about how a boost did all this and deal with it.
    3) There is little difference between boost pots and high starting class levels in HW(DRK,AST) and especially in SB(SAM,RDM). But... No one complained about those, so i bet that the actual problem is the butthurt people that had to level their jobs the normal way. "Why did i have to level all those when someone can now buy them all". Well guess what. You are no longer a special snowflake. Deal with this too.
    4) Dont bash low skillset people. Bashing them doesnt make you look cool or pro, but a generic douchebag. Instead, help them get as good as possibe. If you CBA doing that, then make some other "pro" friends and only do stuff with them. If you cant find anyone to do content with that meets your expectations....lower your standards and deal with it.

    TL;DR Deal with it.
