    No it don't need to be nerfed, you and the group just need to learn the fight and not go tunnel vision.

    As soon as i got the MSQ for it i signed up for duty finder > waited for pop > got in > we wiped 3-4 times as many ( me too ) had to learn the fight and we killed it on the 4 or 5 try.

    I'd rather see them buff previous dungeons. The only problem with Shinryu is that it's a huge difficulty *jump* from previous content. It's not overly hard, but it is a big step up from previous dungeon content, and that needs to change.

    Also, they really shouldn't c*ckblock the Tomestone gear behind the Shinryu fight. It limits the available gearing options for people who are struggling to complete it. I myself would have felt a lot better if I'd known I could queue for daily Roulettes for a week-ish at level 70 to improve my ability to tackle the final Trial.

    Edit: As an aside, people claiming that they got through it easily therefore it isn't too hard are missing the point. The fight is significantly more difficult than other MSQ content, and it is not a trivial challenge. It's being biased and snobbish to suggest that the OP's complaints are invalid and that the fight is easy / has no need of being nerfed. That's simply not true. SE did f*ck up the difficulty of this one. I'd argue that it's because of the jump rather than the objective level, but to claim that the fight is perfectly fine is to demonstrate a tremendous ignorance of game balance.

    Second Edit: The OP's request is also, in fairness, quite overblown. Knee-jerk reactions to nerf content are a central problem for FFXIV, and should be avoided at all costs. Smooth increases in difficulty are the way to go. Nerfing fights to the floor isn't helpful.

    First party I got they abandoned after the second failure. Second group we completed it on the second try. The second group had at least 4 brand new players to the trial. As someone who doesn't usually take part in extreme or savage stuff, even I found this workable.

    They will have to nerf this though if they want players to keep subbing. Do I want it nerfed? I don't care, I've done it pre-nerf. But if it means keeping more people subbed then SE will have to go that route. A lot of players are going to give up on the game entirely if they can't even advance past the 4.0 story. Why stay subbed when they feel locked out of any future updates.

    I think the only appropriate remark for a topic such at this is: get good?

    Like it's a challenging fight, but it's fun and with effort you can make it through it. You pay a subscription to this game, so that it will continue pumping out worthwhile content to play. Seriously, the only solution here is for you to improve yourself. Pay attention more and gear up more. The fight isn't impossible, it's just hard and that's awesome. Everyone complained that Weeping City of Mhach was too difficult because of Ozma, and while yes that is optional content, it's still content that people were able to eventually get through that S-E didn't nerf. And people really wanted a nerf for that raid. People won't unsub because of this fight lmao, and if they do, then they're saving the rest of the player-base forum topics like this in the future.

    Yeah, it sure is ridiculous for a MSQ fight to actually require any degree of thought or communication with other people. Clearly all MSQ fights should be so braindead easy that you can clear them while just rolling your head back and forth across your keyboard as you drool all over it like a braindead idiot.

    Absolutely not. The fight isn't that tough and actually required you to be on your toes. I did this in the DF, once failed but got it on the second try.

    I am on Hyperion as well, so if you need help I can for sure help out.

    But please, whatever you do, do not touch this MSQ trial. Leave it just as it is. People will overgeared it soon.

    No. The content difficulty is perfectly fine. People need to step up their game and actually pay attention to a fight instead of watching Netflix and hoping to get carried. The fight isn't even remotely hard, people are just lazy and font want to put in any amount of effort or attention "because story mode". This dumbing down of content for bad players needs to stop.
