Was there even 1 person on your server AFK-tricking in their personal chambers? They too were contributing to instance server loads.

My server has no problems, I don't see how an afker on my server is able to affect the login que times for overpopulated servers, or even DPS que times for that matter. It may limit the amount of instances available but last time I heard, the instance content was not struggling anymore like it was on release week.

There's no instance server load anymore.

You still haven't said why this measure shouldn't only affect the servers with issues. I have friends who only play for a few hours, and with this logout thing, when you count the fact they can't do anything the moment is announced due to queues, they lose nearly an hour of their daily limited play time.

so as a dps, you stop queueing 1 hour before the kick. wait 10 minutes through the kick, wait 20 minutes to get back on, and then wait another 45 minutes to get into a dungeon. Total time lost: 2 hours 15 min.

The only one with a queue worth mentioning. Even Gilgamesh has low queue times these last few days and it can be bypassed.

If your server doesn't have a queue, then it's literally nothing more than a 10 minute break. And yet it seems as if the sky is falling to some people. As OP said, go grab a drink or pee or something. Or, do what many will choose to do and take the 10 minutes to make yet another post about how unfair life is and then go back to playing as soon as the servers are back up and completely forget it ever happened 30 seconds later.

Wrong. We can't do any runs when it gets close to the shut down time, so it is more than 10 mins. Say 30 mins before hand can't do any DF runs especially DPS where it is a 20-40 min wait.

Most people mention Balmung because it's a well-known fact that they're the most congested NA server, and SE has just now decided to try and do something about their population, rather than try before. Also, a lot of the server load complaints have originated from Balmung, and the methods that SE are implementing to deal with the massive amount of AFKer's (again, Balmung is a culprit here--all servers have AFKers, but they don't seem to affect their respective servers the way Balmung's do because no other server is as congested, save for maybe Gilgamesh) are proving to be an annoyance to everyone, including people on servers that aren't congested, don't have issues with queues or server stress, and they're just expressing their disdain. Balmung is just easy to point the finger at because of its size.

Ahhhh so your saying that ppl don't realize that if the servers weren't congested in the first place, there wouldn't be a need for the afk exploit? It's just easier to blame other customers than the business that is actually responsible I guess.
