Yeah, this makes no sense why SE would make EVERYONE suffer from Balmung's stupidity.

Don't they want people to leave Balmung? Enforcing this on Balmung only might help with that a little bit.

How is this Bulmung's stupidity? I thought S/E managed the servers....Does Hyperion allow the players to manage the servers?

Most people mention Balmung because it's a well-known fact that they're the most congested NA server, and SE has just now decided to try and do something about their population, rather than try before. Also, a lot of the server load complaints have originated from Balmung, and the methods that SE are implementing to deal with the massive amount of AFKer's (again, Balmung is a culprit here--all servers have AFKers, but they don't seem to affect their respective servers the way Balmung's do because no other server is as congested, save for maybe Gilgamesh) are proving to be an annoyance to everyone, including people on servers that aren't congested, don't have issues with queues or server stress, and they're just expressing their disdain. Balmung is just easy to point the finger at because of its size.
