Of course people could have "known" (or rather guessed), but that is not the same thing as it being obvious. Besides, I wasn't mainly referring to last month but to the last 1-2 years.Nobody could have known after the devs told you a moth before that login queues would get horrible and already said they planned to add incentives for people to leave large servers. Nobody could have known when all players started shouting at early access: "Of course so many people would come back! You should be doing something about it!". But now they do actually try implementing a quick fix that doesn't take months to develop, nobody could have known.
That's not what we were talking about, theres a zipper merge (which is great when it works properly), then theres that jerk that does this on purpose speeeding, purposely cutting off an vehicle, no matter where he is and what the road conditions are, then continues to angrily speed around cars.I learned you're actually supposed to do this in some situations - it's called a zipper merge. Not turn lanes though. For those, you're supposed to leave a gap in front of you at all times so people can merge without interrupting the flow of traffic. There's a cool video on it on YouTube called 'Traffic Waves' that explains it.
All that aside, I agree - this is more like people cutting the line at Disneyworld and saying "it's just one person" - well, it's you and another 2000 people, meaning 2000 other people can't even log in at all.
"Within each of us, the potential for great power waits to be released."
Maybe instead of this, they could actually address the exploit that allows AFK people to stay logged in. Or is that too logical?
this is just going to disgruntle people and not help anything. this is how you lose subscribers. Dps waiting un dungeon queues getting kicked off for no reason at all. yeah, expect people to be really pissed off and rightfully so. the problem is there because it is so easy to circumvent the logout using in game features. Fix the real problem
They may plan to do that as well, but that'll entail a client patch, not just a change on server side, so it takes longer. A daily boot to the butt is a short term brute force solution to the problem for now.
"[13:58]At 12:00 p.m. (PDT), we will be logging all characters out from the game. We ask you to please log out before we begin the process. More details: http://sqex.to/jbH"
Was 62 minutes in advance! The one you saw was the second warning.
That'd would require them to spy on everyone's computer's constantly. They spy on us enough ingame as is reading every last bit of our chat logs. Imagine how many people would quit because of that.

There was only ever one warning
Once again, that was the second warning. I don't have a screenshot in game, but I copypasted it on Skype with a timestamp if you really need proof (or my chatlogs). We're on the same server, and both my FC and novice network were talking about it when it popped up at 1:58pm (I'm in NY, so it was 10:58am for PDT).
Edit: Aforementioned skype screenshot here.
