Not sure how I feel about this, on one hand I wont have to wait as long of an evening after work to log in but still being forcably logged out even while playing is abit extreme.

What I want to know is why we're being punished for Gilgamesh and Balmung existing on the same data center.
This isn't good.
There's a fairly decent queue on Omega already during peak hours for the exact same reason. EU isn't being punished for Balmung. Nobody is being "punished" period. You're going to be logged out for 10 minutes with an hour notice. That's PLENTY of time to prepare even if you're in the middle of a raid. Take a pee break, refill your drink, and you're back on. Likely without a queue at all. The only exception for that might be the higher pop servers if there are still enough people actually active to make a queue. But that's an entirely different issue, and won't affect other servers at all.
For most small to moderate pop servers you'll be out 10 mins, and right back in.

It doesn't seem like a good solution.. but it is a solution (we will see at least)

Gee thanks balmung

they will at least freeze the duration of buffs right?
pop a 2hour squad buff or a manual then 2 minutes later get a notification.
perhaps going to freeze that right? and the food people use to craft and gather. and not lose the mats? no duration loss until you are logged back in?
I mean its wishful thinking. but that is a pretty shitty thing to do when so many people are trying to level things.

While this is true, it is also a pretty shitty thing that people stay logged in when afk for hours. It's not fair on people that work or have parental commitments, they might only have 2-3 hours to play. It's not fair for them to spend most or all of that time queuing.they will at least freeze the duration of buffs right?

~Quit moping, get hoping~

Is it fair to potentially kick those same people off and risk waiting in a potential queue because they had some time free prior to it but not after? This is a blanket solution and is not a good one in many ways besides possibly letting back in some of the people who were already doing content. Maybe there will be enough afkers to eliminate the queue but im skeptical, will have to see.
