    Welp this is happening to me, had a random power flicker and now i have to download a entire 22 gb Patch? and SE has said nothing about this really? Gosh....i feel more and more SE doesnt really care much for the PS4 players. PC problems addressed immedietly PS4 " Whenever we get around to it"

    The error just happened to me. Played early in the morning, logged out as normal and turned off the system. No power surges, no power outages. My sister tried to log in at around 12:20EST and there it was, the huge download of 22k megabytes and a download time of about 10 hours approximately. I am nervous, she is nervous and we do NOT want this to happen again. Is there anyone among you that might know how to prevent this from happening again before SE and the dev. team update and fix this?

    Also, have any among you experienced any errors or troubles after re-downloading the huge 22-gig package? Any replies would be appreciated.

    SE and dev. team, this expansion has been an utter nightmare when it comes to system infrastructure. Errors with the server that manages data movement for instances and the duty finder. Errors with reliable, constant connectivity. Previously before early access, errors with data corruption. And now an error or bug with the data of the game itself that forces a re-download of everything because reasons. Please look into this, as the system seems weak and flawed.

    On my current experience: I'm down to needing another 8 Gb. I've been pausing it & resuming it everytime it finishes a file. On a lark, after it moved from .000h to .000i I stopped the d/l by clicking cancel, shut down FFXIV, went through normal power down of the PS4, held my breath and restarted. It came back up and resumed it's progress for me.

    I've had this issue today.

    I'll add that I've *NOT* suffered any sort of power outage. I went to log in on the launcher and the game suffered an error. I closed, reopened the launcher and was hit with the 22gb update.

    I'm absolutely fuming. I have limited play time as it is. Pull your finger out and get it sorted SE.

    Did you have to do a hard reset or anything of the sort? That's not cool if this is now happening without the system restore mode kicking in to trigger it.

    Apology! Disregard my previous post.

    Appear that this problem is not fixed yet. I have yet again hit with "first time set up" and 22.7 GB update...
    If you have the files downloaded already, do PS4's system backup for now. This is the only fail-safe way to fix this problem for now...
