Yeah its so strange that just an impromper shut down would screw with the game launcher when its not even active, but there you go. Even if you are able to dl the patch and get back in still kinda pointless if you have to do it every time a cord comes out or the power flickers.

And Square Enix were sending out notes that this and that are fixed, how could they possibly miss an entire forum with several people complaining about this monstrous bug. Unbelievable. Goes to show how much they test shit out on the consoles. Good job.

Like I can probably understand how the bug slipped through, the previous versions had no issues with the launcher and forcing a reinstall. And its probably difficult to find the line of code that is causing the launcher to go crazy, so I sympathize a little in that regard. I just wish someone would give us some kind of update or at least post in the thread they are looking at it instead of having to be linked to a reddit thread with a vague promise they pushed a little harder on this subject.

I finished my download, after 8 hours... I'm not gonna turn my ps4 on, because even if im not playing, if there is a power outage, the game corrupts itself again... I'm very angry at this... I lost 5 days of playing and fell like i had throw money away, cause I will not get this 4 days of sub back...

This just happened to me as well, it's going to take me over a day to download this. I'm considering quitting the game honestly with all the issues this launch has had.

I don't want to go as far as quitting the game but I do see where you're coming from. My patch will probably be up after 10 hours and I hope we get some kind of compensation for this, because it's extremely frustrating that people were having this issue from the start of the launch and they have not even addresed it. The only post I've seen that talks about this issue is that one on reddit and this doesnt really do it for me.

I for one will not be supporting SE/FF in 5.0 early access or release after this expansion as the game only knows how to give you a grind whether it tomes, scripts or downloading patches they must think ppl must not like time but we do it's precious and we like to do stuff with this space. They'll continue to give you shit service unless there income is hit.

I've got to say I'm lucky my internet connection averages 1.5 mbps as wouldn't be able to play until late today and I need to craft do hand ins etc

That wouldn't help, it was obvious from the reply on reddit that someone from SE has read this forum thread as they provided a link to it. In my experience, if you want a big companies attention you have to hit them where it matters to them, their wallet. If enough PS4 players flood customer service with demands that our monthyly subscription fees be refunded...that MAY get their attention...
