    The funny thing is that if RDM was able to mix sword skills with spells on the regular, I doubt you'd see complaints from anyone. Maybe the rare person that misses refresh-botting, but that's it.

    * The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.

    Yes you would. Not everyone wants a melee caster.

    It's just a ranged caster with a quirk. Two, actually. Dual cast and a melee finisher. Good enough for a Red Mage.

    I mean. If you say so? Wanting something a little -more- isn't the same as being "not happy with what they receive." Like... if someone gives me vanilla ice cream, I'm happy. If someone gives me something I like -more,- I'm just more happy, I'm not unhappy with vanilla at all.
