Regarding the Duty World Issues on the NA DC

I agree there should be some form of compensation for this. We all payed for the service during this time and it was practically unplayable.

Nobody is asking to get something for free. Call it a sense of entitlement if you will but we have worked to earn the money that we spend on this game, and all we would ask for is what we have paid for.

If the apology is truly sincere, then let it not be in words alone. Please add the 2 days of time the service was not sufficiently provided to our subscriptions.

So yes, we deserve a couple free days. So if you don't want compensation that is your choice. They might as well take away your pre-order items because you didn't pay extra for them. But because you pre-order you should get both the time that was lost during EA and your item on launch day because that was what was featured for pre-ordering the game.

ugh come on. Those 15 days have *nothing* to do with the problems at hand. If you want to defend SE on that issue, try at least to have reasonnable arguments. Because SE's stance on the matter is "please leave all your friends and transfer".

Which, and I know this is going to sound rude and unsympathetic, is the only way we're going to be able to fix this mess. SE clearly will not. Their fix is to get people off the server and they're gonna stand by that. My reckoning is if that fails to get people off they'll just pull a supposed XI Odin and literally cleave the server in 2 and split the playerbase (possibly even moving one of the split servers to the other NA datacentre so you can't even cross-realm). As well as keeping both realms locked down tight for like 5 years so you can't simply transfer back over or create a new character there.

They've made a pretty sweet transfer offer with a lot of nice bonuses and it seems that even that isn't enough to get people to transfer off. I don't think SE would need to do this, capacity issues tend to solve themselves if you deny certain things. For example, I'd keep the new housing area shutdown, and no new retainers on servers that are over-capacity until 10% of the players volunteer to migrate somewhere else.

That said, sometimes the carrot just has to be bigger. SE can reach out to the 5 largest FC's on the server and say the first one to volunteer take their entire FC with them will get the largest housing plot available in the new housing area on the non-congested server. But they must take their FC, and all their alts and retainers with them. Anyone who doesn't want to move has to quit the FC, as anyone still in the FC by then will get a double confirm to be moved, or be dropped from the FC on the move date.
