Class Request: Necromancer

They're not going to implement Summoner. Yoshi-P doesn't like the idea of there being multiples of a primal and them not being extremely strong. Summoning will be a one-shot deal you earn every time you kill a primal, though to be honest, I don't like that idea either as it'll easily wreck PVE balance.

Necromancer is a class with lots of fun design space, however, it doesn't have a FFXI history, so it's less likely to be added. Also, these class request threads are way premature. You won't be seeing any classes that haven't already been announced/planned until after 2.0 if even then.

There is so much wrong information in these posts that I don't even know where to begin. Go back and re-read the interviews is all I can say, because the conclusions you're jumping to are based on inaccurate assumptions.

So a summoner can't summon the primals but he can summon Carbuncle. What else can he summon then? Could you please use your superior reading comprehension skills and find that information from this post?

smn will be able to summon elementals and not just carbuncle, but other avatars which won't be considered as gods (unlike shiva, ramuh, garuda, ifrit, etc)

SMN is already confirmed via one of his latest interviews so GG there @ reading. Secondly Necro doesn't fit the whole FF style but I love it in GW/GW2 so I would not be 100% opposed to having it. I just don't think it's gonna happen XD

^ This is a pet class. I would love to see this in XIV. It would add a new dimension for sure and make summoner / single summon seem fairly antiquated (which it feels like to me)
