Or they should have kept stoneskin as a role ability instead of eye for an eyeI can understand both of these points and quite honestly I feel like eye for an eye is supposed to be a cross role ability because its biggest strength comes from the additional mitigation provided during a trash pull and little else(sure its nice for boss fights but lets be real, we are only gonna throw it on the tank). Instead to make up for that scholar should've gotten some sort of different mitigation ability as a spell that works with deployment, like 3rd eye but cast on a single target(basically a minor shield for a single attack) as the only time you really use deployment is for a big hit and having a shorter cool down mitigation to assist with tank busters would feel good and rewarding.
I understand, I very much miss stone skin, but more often than not it was to much MP and it only served the purpose of keeping NPC's with ridiculous health pools alive or maintaining HP while soloing low level content as a high level character, clever healers could weave it in before a tank buster but for the most part it was just a set up ability. (however it should have probably stayed in the game but it does open up the creative liberties of shields a lot more, RIP WHM) And another note, Stone Skin and Eye for an Eye are completely different effects strategically.(but you probably know this enough)
