I took that risk...once XD safe to say that was the hardest Final Steps NM I've ever done (somehow) so after we wiped, I put Protect back in my cross roles XD I did have to rez a few times so I don't think it's ever leaving


For my part, I dropped E4E on my Scholar. You can argue it's a waste not to have it, but in my experience it doesn't really amount to much in real terms. Wasting deployment tactics on E4E makes even less sense, since it should only ever be the tanks that are being struck directly if they're doing their jobs properly, so doubling it up on a melee or a mage DPS makes little sense.
If I'm forced to choose between protect and E4E, the former wins every time.

I'm just happy that as an Astrologian i get to select this as a Role action now! Whereas ot was baked Scholar and Whitemage had it cross-class i always felt left out!
It's not really much of an ability.
I suppose the bottom line is that it's not a big deal regardless. Healers can't rely on RNG when it comes to damage mitigation. If it's not reliable then it's not worth it.
