No intelligent PLD player should expect this to last. The issue is that it happened at all in the first place when they specifically promised balance for the tanks.

What if all tanks stood in solidarity and refused to level up their tanks in SB? Well, I mean the PLD players would probably level PLD just to spite the DRK and WAR players.

But what if all DRK and WAR players purposely got together and refused to level their preferred tank classes the first month of SB, even switching to DPS classes, just to crash the tank population and drive dungeon queues upwards towards infinity?

Could we force Squenix to take our complaints seriously and stop screwing around with tank balance and gameplay so clumsily and horribly all the damn time? The game design REQUIRES tanks. We have a lot of power and if we acted in unison we could grind the game to a halt until we got what we wanted.

Tanks need a union, and we need to all go on strike!

I'm actually doing that on my own. I'll lvl RDM and stop DRK until I see it's ok again.

I won't boycott leveling my tank because if I raid I'll tank, but as a PLD player I certainly won't tank or heal in dungeons roulette until both roles are fixed. So if the goal was the increase DPS queue times, they've succeeded in that.

For statics and PF, yeah WAR players need to eat crow and play whatever is in demand or be excluded. Hopefully they learn their lesson that bad balance is bad for everybody.

Imbalancing the tanks in an even more prominent manner does not provide a reality check. I see nothing wrong with players playing the tanks that are most favored by a given encounter. I do, however, think SE might need a reality check if they're willing to make that a single tank, by a large margin, for a disproportionate number of encounters.
