I am hoping for is we don't end up all carbon copies of each other.

By "end up" do you mean we all already are? And those who aren't a carbon copy are literally less than. People allocated the way they did for a reason, not to be sheeple.

Is it a sad case? Yes. But you were allocated wrong if you tried to divert away from others.
